Balayage vs. Weave

Do you know the difference?

Balayage is hand painting and can be done open air, or placed in foils. It has a seamless grow out, can last 6- 8 months, or longer, if you prefer a more rooted look.

A weave, is always placed in foils and can consist of highlights and low lights. A weave is brought as close to the root as possible. This usually has a definite line of demarcation when growing out.

On this client I did a balayage in foils. It is seamless and will continue looking beautiful as it grows out.

I just need a trim today, not a full haircut.💇‍

I have heard this phrase often, and have also been asked what the price differences are between a haircut and a trim❓

My answer is always "they are the same price." 💰

When you tell me you want a trim, you're really telling me you want the same haircut, only slightly shorter than it currently is. You also want to keep the same shape and texture that has been lost in between haircuts.

As a stylist, I approach a trim with the same skills and time as a haircut. A trim also includes the same relaxing shampoo, conditioner and finishing style. So in short, a trim is still considered a haircut, and you'll be feeling fresh, and pampered after both. 🥰

Did you know that most natural red hair will fade as time goes by?

It usually fades to pale blonde and eventually white.
