In June, I’ll have been doing this hair thing for six years. In the grand scheme of things, 6 years isn’t a lot, and yet I’ve grown so much in that period of time. With this growth has come the realization that I don’t want to be doing hair forever, and there are other talents I possess that I haven’t tapped into as much as I’d like. In June of 2016 I graduated from Phagan’s Cosmetology School, and in June 2022 I’ll be graduating with my Bachelor’s in English/Writing and starting a new career. With that said, my last day in the salon will be June 30. While it’s bittersweet to leave hair and my salon home of Studio Q, I’m excited and hopeful for this new chapter.
