Let me explain what a move-up actually is, why it is necessary, and what the timing looks like

A move-up is the appointment where we reposition your extension rows as your natural hair grows, keeping them close to the scalp and preventing tension, matting or any damage to the wefts and your hair.
It is necessary because hair grows about half an inch per month, and extensions that have grown too far from the scalp start to pull, tangle, and put stress on your natural hair.
The timing depends on your growth rate, density, and slippage caused by product. Most clients come in every 6-8 weeks.
