Let's prep for peel season! With chemical peels it's important to prep the skin..

Why?

Think of it this way.. you've never used retinol and we go and do a strong retinol peel with out any prep. The skin could over react, have a more inflamed response.

It's like working out..you normally wouldn't just go in for the hardest workout you've ever done If you haven't been working out for 3-6 months..you would slowly work into it.

We also want to prep that pigmentation as well..

With gentle lighter peels we don't need to prep the skin..however as we work up to heavier ones it's a must and you will get better results.

Many different retinol options so I will pick the correct one for your skin!

Simply Brilliant is my go to for the peel prep because it has lactic and salicylic acid, potent antioxidants, and whitonyl and waltheria to add in to help with discoloration. Packed with 10 different lighters and brightens.

And remember no sun before or after a peel. Stop cosmedix retinol 3 days before.

Sun exposure and free radicals are the enemy of aging. We are all acceptable to some sort of pigmentation in the skin because of our melanocytes. Some more than others from sun exposure, genetics, hormones, diet and lifestyle.

A lot of you might ask what a tyrosinase inhibitor is. Ingredients that inhabit the production of melanin in your skin.

This is why everyone needs to be on a tyrosinase inhibitor even before you have pigmentation and if you do.

I went to cosmetology school 16 years ago and advanced aesthetic laser school 6 years ago. Always in training and classes!

✨This is my absolute favorite oil cleanser thus far! ✨

This is in my holy grail of products. I use this in the morning as my morning cleanse and at night as my first cleanse to take my makeup off. Then I follow it with an exfoliating cleanser. My favorite right now I've been using is the cosmetics clarify foaming cleanser.

Start out by shaking the bottle and pumping a small amount into the hands that are dry and then apply to a dry skin massaging it in, then grab a little water massage more and rinse. The reason why I love this cleanser is because it doesn't leave a greasy oily film left behind like so many other oil cleansers do.

This ultra hydrating cleanser is packed with argan and olive oils to nourish the skin. However, if you run more oily, this is also a great choice for you too as oil attracts oil. If you're dehydrated this will give you a boost in hydration.
