Thank you to everyone who attended the FLY OZ Landowner’s Appreciation Dinner on Saturday! We had a great time meeting the landowners of our FLY OZ network of airstrips. We feasted on Wright’s BBQ and Rick’s Bakery Sweets, and we were serenaded with music by Will Gunselman! We appreciate all the landowners do to keep their grass airstrips maintained, and for allowing pilots the privilege of visiting them! We can’t wait to spread the amenities that each FLY OZ airstrip offers and hope you will consider visiting them as well! FLY OZ is built around the generous airstrip landowners. Please join us in thanking them for all they do!

Calling all aviation lovers!! Thaden Field and Textron Aviation will be hosting a community day complete with:

Come visit the FLY OZ booth at First Friday: Adrenaline event on the Bentonville Square this Friday from 3-9pm. Enter to win a Discovery Flight at Thaden Field or a flight in a GB1 GameBird! There will be FLY OZ and GameBird merch for sale and campfire smore’s stations! Look to the skies at 5pm to see aerobatic champion and GameBird designer Philipp Steinbach lead a flight of GameBirds over the Bentonville Square. We’ll see you there!

Emergency Tales and Tours of the Cockpit event this Saturday in the Thaden Field Exhibit Hanger!! Roger Woolsey will be bringing an A-26 that fought in the Battle of the Bulge to KVBT! The A-26 has been on a European tour and it will be stopping by Thaden Field on its way back home from the Airventure show in Oshkosh, WI. 

The A-26, Miss MillionAiress, will land at 11:30am and be open to the public for a meet and greet! Then at 4pm, FLY OZ Club members are invited to a Tales and Tours from the Cockpit event in the Exhibit Hanger with Roger Woolsey!
