Life update:

Hey friends, I thought we would give an update on where we are and what we are doing. We’ve had several wonderful friends and clients asking how we are doing and it’s so nice that people reach out and ask! We are still living in Shreveport and definitely will be through the holidays. With the housing market being like it is and the house and land prices being so high in NW Ark we are taking our time looking and praying for just the right time and area to buy. But having the freedom to travel back and forth as often as we want has been nice. Terrell has gotten licensed already as an independent claims adjustor and also just finished training in Fayetteville to become a licensed home inspector. As for me, I am enjoying spending time with my grand babies here and my grand in NW Ark. It has been so nice to be able to travel there to be with my daughter and family but also be here with my daughters and family. So, we are in no rush to move but still actively pursuing it. Thank you for everyone who has reached out and texted and called and stayed in touch. God has been so good to us! We love you all!!

Yesterday we closed on our building! God was in it the whole time! When we prayed about selling, we had no clue God would answer so quickly and easily! Next week will be our last full week working at the salon. Paula has several clients with appointments through the last couple of weeks of September but Thursday the 8th will be Terrell’s last day. Today was Phyllis’ last day to work. We are so grateful and thankful for all the years of business that our wonderful clients have given us! We truly have been so blessed with clients that became friends and like family. The wonderful conversations over hair & lashes will be remembered for a lifetime. We have had many clients in tears with us leaving and although it has been sad, it also shows how much our clients care for us. Every single client has said how happy they are for us, just sad for themselves. But God! God has opened every door and answered every prayer Terrell and I have prayed for in this new season. And He answered them quickly! Alaina May thank you for being the best assistant we could’ve ever asked for! Phyllis Koglin thank you for being the best lash stylist and sister always! Thank you to our clients for all the love and prayers for us as we start our new journey!

‼️Big Changes at Total Changes‼️

Well, this is a post I never dreamed I would be making. Terrell and I have been praying for a while now on what our future will hold and what we want to do as we become the age of empty nesters. Our goals are to be able to spend more quality time with our kids and grandkids, travel a lot more, and eventually live in a city with less crime but also be in a beautiful area to live. With that said, we will be selling our business and going into a different field of work that will allow us to travel more. (More on that at a later date) We truly were thinking it would take 3-6 months, but we got an offer on our building last week. We began telling our clients a month ago of our plans, so no one would be shocked when a sign went up. But with the offer on the table, it will happen sooner than later. We do not have a closing date yet, but wanted to reach everyone asap. We have been honored to serve our clients for 33 years. Many of our clients and employees became good friends and many are like family to us. This is so bittersweet because we are excited about the newness of our future but sad that we will miss our daily conversations with our clients. We have clients that have pictures of us in their baby books for first haircuts to their wedding albums! This has been an incredible journey and we hope and pray to stay in touch with so many of you. We will still be in Shreveport for a while with our daughters and family here & we will be in NW Arkansas some with one of our daughters and her family there. When the time comes we plan on buying a home in NW Ark. We have visited there many times and have studied the area. It is beautiful, with a lot of things to explore and do & truthfully, the low crime rate is a huge bonus. We are so sorry if this is coming to a surprise or shock to any of our clients as we have tried to tell as many as possible first hand. With the closing of our salon, also means my sister, Phyllis, will be retiring as well. Phyllis has been a lash stylist for 7 years and we have loved having her working with us. She hopes to enjoy more travel time with her husband as well. Alaina will soon be welcoming a sweet baby boy to her life and has been the best assistant we could’ve ever asked for! We will continue to update as soon as we know when our last day will be. Thank you for your business, your friendship, and your prayers as we start this new journey in our lives.
