A few notes from our staff this Father’s Day 🤍
And a special shoutout to the dads on our team, Dr. Williams and Dr. Belin.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandpas, and father figures in our lives!
A good rule of thumb: apply products from thinnest to thickest.
✨Cleanser
✨Toner (if you use one)
✨Treatments (like rosacea or acne products)
✨Serums
✨Moisturizer
✨Sunscreen (always last in the morning OR in the evening, swap this step for retinoid!)

Acne Awareness Month felt like the right time to talk about one of the most hyped products out there… pimple patches 👀
They can be super helpful for certain breakouts (especially whiteheads) by protecting the area, pulling out fluid, and helping it heal without picking. But they’re not a fix for every type of acne, and they won’t get to the root of deeper or persistent breakouts.
Think of them as a tool, not the whole solution! If you’ve been relying on quick fixes and still not seeing real change, it might be time to take a different approach.

It’s that time of year in Arkansas… we’re starting to find ticks during skin checks (swipe for proof!) 👀
As the weather warms up and we’re all spending more time outside, ticks become a lot more active, and they don’t always stay in obvious places.
We’re seeing more of these come through the office lately, so consider this your friendly reminder to stay aware while enjoying the outdoors!

Not all breakouts are actually acne, and treating the wrong condition can keep your skin stuck in a cycle!
If your “acne” isn’t improving (or keeps coming back), it might be time to take a closer look 👀
The right diagnosis = the right treatment, and that’s where we can help!
We get it. Sometimes a sunburn happens. But, how you treat your sunburned skin can make a big difference in how you feel and it heals.
If you’re dealing with a burn, here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Get out of the sun and avoid further exposure
2️⃣ Use a cool compress or chilled aloe vera to help with pain and swelling
3️⃣ Take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen for pain if needed / safe to do so
4️⃣ Keep your skin hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer
5️⃣ Once healed, protect your skin daily with SPF and consider antioxidants like vitamin C
Still struggling? Consider an over-the-counter hydrocortisone ointment for a short period of time, or see your dermatologist for a stronger prescription topical steroid.
If your sunburn is severe or not improving, it’s always a good idea to come in.
