•first and foremost apply (and reapply) sunscreen!!! Your sunscreen should be spf 30 or higher with broad spectrum protection, water-resistant and applied about 30 minutes before you head outside. Not only will your skin be protected from the sun but it will also help to create a barrier between you and the pool chemicals, preventing your skin from drying out. Remember to reapply every 90 minutes when swimming (or sweating)
•you could also use a pre-swimming lotion to help prevent dry, itchy skin, pool rash and chlorine rash
•wetting your skin under a shower before you get in the pool will help your skin cells from absorbing the chlorinated pool water.
•and cleansing your skin in the shower after you’re done swimming will help remove pool chemicals.
•immediately after your shower apply moisturizer to keep your skin soft, smooth and hydrated.
•washing your bathing suit regularly is also important to remove any chemicals and chlorine.
