Bill Cassidy (R-La.) when he told the senator he would maintain a key federal vaccine advisory committee “without changes.” During a budget hearing held by the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, Schrier, a pediatrician, described the dire impacts of skipping childhood vaccinations for illnesses, such as whooping cough. “I just want to tell you that for most of us sitting here right now, we believe Sen. Cassidy more than we trust you when it comes to vaccinations. It sounds to me like you gave him the answer he needed to hear in order to get his confirmation vote, and then as soon as you were secretary, you turned around and did whatever you want. Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) had harsh words for embattled Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a Capitol Hill hearing Wednesday: President Trump’s previous Defense leader, Mark Esper, “had more guts and balls” than Hegseth because Esper refused to maim unarmed protesters, she said.   “[Esper] didn’t accept the order,” Slotkin, a former CIA analyst and Defense official, told Hegseth. “He had more guts and balls than you, because he said, I’m not going to send in the uniformed military to do something that I know in my gut isn’t right.”

She and RFK Jr should walk into the sunset together if they can find it🤪
