This beautiful curly girl came in for a little color refresh, and we created custom curly highlights and a toner to enhance her curls while keeping the health and integrity of her hair our top priority. 🤎✨

When coloring curly hair, it’s so important to consider more than just the end result. Throughout the entire color process, I’m mindful of the products and techniques being used to help maintain moisture, strength, elasticity, and overall curl health.

After her color, we customized her shape with a curly cut inspired by both DevaCurl and Rëzo cutting methods, working with her natural curl pattern to create movement, volume, and definition. ✂️✨

To finish, we used DevaCurl products specifically chosen to enhance her texture, encourage curl definition, and leave her curls looking soft, healthy, and beautifully defined.

This beautiful curly client was experiencing curl tangling because the ends were becoming fragile and breaking along the hair shaft. When the hair starts to split and break, those curls can begin sticking together instead of moving freely and defining beautifully.

🫧 We started at the shampoo bowl by clarifying the hair to remove buildup and create a clean foundation for the curls. We followed with a deep-conditioning, frizz-eliminating 5-minute treatment to restore moisture, softness, and manageability.
