Okay, so I know it is my grandmother's job to send me these kinds of articles, but this one is just ridiculous. Why? It claims tattoo inks are dangerous b/c they're not regulated by the FDA, "which goes after cosmetics with a vengeance." Yeah, right.

And tattoo inks may even contain Mercury & Lead! Wait, you mean like the cosmetics that are "regulated" by the FDA??

"A new FDA study has identified lead in all 20 red lipsticks it tested (from 10 diff. brands),& at concentrations up to 4x higher than those found in independent testing. While the FDA has not regulated lead in lipstick, the levels detected were up to 10-times higher than the safe limit set for lead in candy."

Why does this continue to be the consumer's responsibility? It is scientifically proven BPA is a public health concern... why doesn't the government/FDA ban its use in consumer products?

Maybe bisphenol A (BPA) should just be BANNED from being used in consumer containers? Why do keep leaving it up to the businesses to be "tansparent"? Apparently even the companies we think we can trust the most can't seem to regulate themselves...
