Lil’ curtain bangs and shaping for Kari! We actually didn’t even touch her length since she wanted to keep it long. So, we did a little razor action and carved out some movement because, as you can see in her before picture, she had just all one-length hair. One thing that’s weird that I’ve noticed from just years of cutting hair: adding layers to one-length hair without touching the length or if you just dust the ends, hair always looks longer after putting the layers in. Have you ever noticed that too?

Our turn! We both got our post-quarantine hair done today, finally! It’s been a few crazy weeks since salons have been open, but we were able to get our do’s in today on our day off! It’s hard for us to find the time to get our hair done, but it felt so good to do each other’s hair. And it’s also pretty awesome to have a partner that cuts and another that colors!!

Can we talk about ’s curls for a minute?!

Emily came to me for the first time yesterday wanting a change. After having traumatic haircuts in the past where her hair would be cut wet (😱), she decided just to stop getting haircuts. It had been 4 years since she had her hair cut, so it was a really big deal to let me give her a new shape and style. And, I was once again reminded why I love doing what I do. The amount of excitement that she displayed once we started drying her hair completely made my day!
