“Hello, dreamers in the hair industry,
How far are your dreams from reality?
Do you ever feel like giving up?”
“Once again, I’d like to share my experience here. I opened my salon in 1978, and thankfully, the salon thrived with a lot of customers and stylists.
In 1985, seven years later, the salon was suddenly hit by a fire and completely burned down. At that time, computers were not common, and we lost all customer records, salon furniture, tools, and products.
I used to travel between hair shows and the salon, and I found out about the salon fire while I was away. I rushed back, but everything was reduced to ashes.
The cause was the carelessness of a contractor who had been renovating part of the salon. They had disposed of a cigarette butt in a trash can. It reacted with the dry chemical fumes from the painted floor, causing an explosion.
I was suspected of intentionally starting the fire by the police and fire department. I had to find a temporary salon space within a few days. Since I had no customer records, we took calls and served all our customers from morning to night.
Fortunately, my salon staff stood by my side, and we received a lot of support from product companies.
Our customers also remained loyal and came with us. Due to these efforts, we were able to return to our original location six months later and now celebrate our 45th year in business.
It may sound simple, but someone is always watching and supporting those who keep pushing forward. If you don’t give up on yourself, you will inevitably find a good team and support to help you achieve your dreams.
