Officially on Module 6: Pumping!

Throughout this course, I’ve said MULTIPLE times “wow, I wish I had known this before I started breastfeeding!” 😂

I’m still proud of our almost 2 year journey, & I’m extremely grateful for the knowledge I’m gaining to better support the families I work with!

I am almost done with this lactation class & our graduation ceremony is at the end of the month! If I’m being honest, I fell off for a bit - life got hectic in September, with a conference + 2 births, and Life being life.. But, thankfully I was able to pick up where I left off and my mentor has been very gracious & supportive throughout the process!

✨ A little reminder that progress doesn’t always look like staying on schedule. Take a breath, give yourself some grace, and show up again 🤍

Birth number ten. 🥹🤍

Last summer I was wondering, “Do I really want to do this?” And now here I am 10 births later! 🥹

An induction, nitrous oxide, approximately 847 hip squeezes 😂 and one incredibly strong mama.

She told me she couldn’t have done it without me AND recommended me to a friend. 🥹

My heart is so full. 🤍
Birth work really is the best work.

Yesterday, I attended the doula love conference! My doula cup is so full! 🥹🤍

One of my favorite parts of the conference was learning more about supporting clients through high-panic situations and learning techniques to help when baby is malpositioned.

I also unexpectedly ran into one of my doula friends, Jordan with Empowered Birth- Doula Services, which was extra funny because we could have just carpooled!! 😂😭

I met SO many incredible doulas, made new connections, laughed, learned, and left feeling even more excited about this work.

And THEN, they gifted us these absolutely adorable engraved Doula Love Owalas in a cute doula love tote bag! 🥹💕

AND I WON THREE RAFFLES.

Feeling incredibly grateful for this experience and for the community of birth workers I get to learn alongside. 🧡
