I was incredibly honored to have been voted Billings’ Best Esthetician and Best Day Spa, and even more grateful when those results were publicly posted. To everyone who took the time to vote and show your support, please know how deeply I appreciate you. 💛

Recently, I learned that the published results were changed after they were announced, and I feel it’s important to address this openly. Once results are made public, they should remain consistent, not altered afterward in a way that could appear to favor certain businesses.

I truly don’t understand how such a significant change could happen, especially in both categories. If results are being manually adjusted after automated calculations, particularly in ways that might benefit advertisers, that raises understandable concerns. These recognitions should reflect the genuine votes of our community, not financial influence. Our voices matter, and transparency is essential to keeping these contests fair and meaningful.

If this situation affected my results, it’s possible others were impacted too and that’s what troubles me most. Every local business works hard to earn the trust of our community, and every finalist and winner deserves to feel proud, valued, and enough. I’m not saying the contest was rigged, but I do believe everyone deserves clarity and fairness.

I also want to take a moment to congratulate every business that made it this far - finalists, winners, and everyone recognized. It takes dedication, passion, and heart to do what we do every day, and that deserves to be celebrated. 💛

Moving forward, I hope the Billings Gazette will reach out to all contestants at the same time before publishing results, so miscommunications like this don’t happen again. Clear communication and honesty build trust and our community deserves that.
