This transformation has been over two years in the making. 🤍

When she was ready to move away from years of black box color and back toward her natural shade, we knew it wasn’t going to happen in one appointment. Black color holds on tight, and as we lifted through it, we had to work through a lot of unwanted warmth along the way.

Instead of rushing the process, we chose to protect the health of her hair every step of the way. Appointment by appointment, we got closer to our goal until we landed on this beautiful, natural-looking color that will grow out so much softer and require far less maintenance.

To finish it all off, we gave her the chop she had been waiting for—and I don’t know what I love more, the color or how confident she felt walking out the door. ✨

The first few days with extensions can feel a little different, and that’s completely normal. 🤍

When she came in for her first 2-row move-up, she told me she couldn’t imagine going back. The extra length, the fullness, and the confidence they gave her quickly became part of her everyday routine.

Like anything new, they took a little getting used to. But now? She absolutely loves them, and they feel just like her own hair.

One of my favorite parts of a consultation is looking through inspiration photos together.

Most people think I’m looking at one thing… but I’m actually breaking down so many little details.

I’m looking at where the brightness lives, how much dimension there is, the tone, the maintenance it will require, and how all of that works with your starting point.

Then I ask one of my favorite questions:

“What do you love most about this photo?”

That answer often tells me more than the picture itself.

Because the goal isn’t to recreate someone else’s hair. It's to understand what you’re drawn to and create a version that fits your hair, your lifestyle, and your goals.

That’s where the magic happens. 🤍

Sometimes adding a little depth is exactly what makes the blonde stand out. ✨

She has always been an all-over blonde, but this time she was ready for something a little softer and lower maintenance.

By adding depth back into her hair, we created contrast that allows her blonde to pop in all the right places. The brighter pieces feel brighter, the dimension adds movement, and the grow-out will be much softer and more seamless between appointments.

Lived-in color isn’t about being less blonde, it’s about being intentional with where the blonde lives. 🤍
