The eyes are responding to plant medicine…

A recent double-blind, placebo-controlled study from Korea looked at Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) and its effects on eye health over 6 months.

Participants taking the extract showed:
-Significant improvements in macular pigment levels compared with placebo
-Early changes noted by 120 days
-Very high responder rate (~95%)
-No serious safety concerns

Macular pigment is one of the eye’s natural protective layers, linked with visual clarity, contrast sensitivity, and long-term retinal resilience.

From an integrated iridology perspective, what’s interesting here is the way measurable changes in retinal integrity may reflect broader patterns of microvascular and nutritional support — something often considered when reading long-term stress and tissue response in the iris.

While this doesn’t replace clinical eye care, it adds to the growing picture that plant-based therapies like Gotu Kola may play a role in supporting ocular health in measurable ways.

See anything unusual in your organ or gland areas?

Looking at this hematogenic (brown) iris, we see through the pigment that there are white, raised fibers, reveling underlying inflammation. Also, note the tension in the small pupil. There are quite a few other signs in this brown eye; anyone want to comment? Would love to see what you see!
