A Heartfelt Goodbye as I start my next chapter❤️

After more than 20 years behind the chair, the time has come for me to step away from Lori Ashley Hair Salon.

This is incredibly bittersweet for me. Seventeen years ago, Ashley and I started this journey together, and 15 years ago we opened the doors to our salon on Upper Front Street. What started as a business became so much more than I ever could have imagined.

Over the years, my clients became so much more than clients—you became friends and family. We’ve shared weddings, babies, grandchildren, celebrations, heartaches, lots of laughter, some tears, and countless conversations from behind my chair. I will forever be grateful for the trust, friendship, love, and support you have given me over the years.

To the amazing girls I’ve had the privilege of working beside every day, I don’t even know how to put into words how much I’m going to miss you. The laughter, the conversations, the craziness, and just being together every day have been such a huge part of my life. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. ❤️

As hard as it is to walk away from something I have loved so much, I know it’s time for a new chapter. I’m looking forward to traveling and spending more time with my husband, my children, and my 13 grandchildren—and simply having more time to enjoy all the people and moments that mean the most to me.

One of the things that makes this transition so much easier is knowing that Lori Ashley is in the best possible hands. I couldn’t be more proud to have my daughter and partner, Ashley, take over the salon and continue what we have built together. Along with our incredible team, I know she will continue to grow the business while giving our clients the same wonderful care they have always received. Watching Ashley carry Lori Ashley into its next chapter makes me incredibly proud. ❤️

To every client who has ever sat in my chair, supported our salon, referred your friends and family, and shared a piece of your life with me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You gave me a career I truly loved and memories I will cherish forever.

I’m going to miss my clients, my girls, and salon life more than words can say. There will definitely be tears, but more than anything, I feel incredibly grateful.

Thank you for making me love coming to work every day for more than 20 years. What a wonderful ride it has been. ❤️

🌟 Today we are celebrating Kaity May’s well earned promotion to SENIOR STYLIST!! This is well overdue as she is my only stylist to ever say “no thank you” when I tried to promote her 6 months ago 🤣. She is beyond talented with her cutting and blonding skills and her color formulas are always on point. Kaity May is a mentor to the other junior stylists in the salon and always steps up to help when she is needed. We are so lucky to have her on our team! Congratulations Kaity May!! 🩷

🌟 We are also celebrating Deborah taking on a new role in the salon as an independent booth renter upstairs in our new space starting September 1st. This is something she has wanted for quite some time, and although we will miss having her downstairs, we are so excited to watch her thrive in this new position!!
