It's Small Business Saturday! Today is the day to celebrate and support small businesses and all that they do for your community.

The Executive Cut will be out on the road this weekend! We are turning it up, providing cuts at 3 facilities in just 2 days!! The holidays are approaching and everybody wants to look good! This weekend you'll find us at Finger Lakes Residential Center, MacCormick Juvenile Secure Center and Sgt. Henry Johnson Youth Leadership.

Veterans Day is an important day for showing appreciation to members of our military, past and present. There are a plethora of wonderful organizations who offer all manner of support, services and appreciation for our service members.

• Attend a Veterans Day event in your area -- not just a picnic with friends but an honest-to-goodness parade or service for veterans. Roy Rogers said, "We can't all be heroes; someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by."
• Ask someone about their service. Sometimes you don't have to say anything, just listen and give them your full attention.
• Visit a VA Hospital Many VA facilities will have events on Veterans Day or a special lunch you can help prepare. Even if you never interact with a veteran, helping at a facility is a way to give back.

Chances are you know a veteran or if you are lucky like me, you have several of them in your life. Go ahead, tell them how much you appreciate all they have done, how much they’ve given and just what it means to you to have them as part of your life.

So to all the amazing veterans out there… Thank you. Thank you for your sacrifices, your bravery, and your willingness to stand up for what you believe in and go where others would not. Our lives are richer and stronger in one way or another for what you have done.

It's hard to believe it's been almost 2 weeks since we left Jamaica! We made some of the most amazing friends while we were there and can't wait to go back!!!
We had the opportunity to go into town and meet some very talented Jamaican barbers.
These guys have skills!!

We are proud sponsors once again of the All Paws for a Cause Canine Walk. The Executive Cut has donated the trophies and medals for this event.

Funds raised for this event benefit the YWCA's ENCOREplus program which provides breast and cervical cancer outreach, education and advocacy.

Top fundraiser will win a year's supply of dog food!! Plenty of vendors on-site and contest's to be won.

The walk is Sunday, July 31 at Ostsiningo Park in Binghamton.

Today is another groundbreaking day for The Executive Cut!

Today we begin providing services at Goshen Secure Center. With this new contract we are now providing barber services to residents at 4 of the Office of Children and Family Service facilities in New York State!!

Life is too short to think small.....It's time to make dreams a reality!

On Thursday, June 9th, Razrlink Technology had the honor and privilege to present our first annual Razrlink Technology Scholarship to a young man in Virginia. The best part was that it was a total surprise! We managed to coordinate the entire award, scholarship and presentation without him knowing beforehand!

Many of our FB followers may recognize Eriq from the days that he volunteered his services at some of our facilities. Well, he's about to graduate high school and we couldn't think of a more deserving person to receive the first scholarship!!!

Here is a small piece of what was written about Eriq and the award he received:
Razrlink Technology provides a multitude of services in many different environments; some of which include providing barber services in drug and alcohol rehab and juvenile detention facilities.
Each time that Eriq Blake traveled to New York, he has volunteered his time to Razrlink and because of this, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize Eriq for the countless hours of time and energy that he has donated to not only the business but to the community as well. The list of his contributions is long, the lives that he's impacted is too great to even mention. Most likely he doesn’t even know what kind of an impact he's had on the people that he's come across; he was just doing what came naturally to him. He always works with a smile and never judges anyone for
their past, his attitude is infectious.

Congratulations Eriq, we are so incredibly proud to recognize you and all that you've accomplished! Don't ever stop dreaming, believing or trying! Best of luck in everything you do!

On March 16th we attended the 2016 Operation: Start Up & Grow conference hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration in Syracuse.
This was the 9th annual premier veteran business conference in New York for veterans who want to start or grow their own business.
The 2016 keynote speaker was U.S. Air Force veteran Gordon Logan, founder and CEO of Sport Clips Haircuts. Headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, Sport Clips Haircuts is a sports-themed hair care franchise for men and boys with more than 1,400 stores across the U.S. and Canada.
We had the opportunity to meet with over 50 exhibitors that day. There was a lot of networking and handshaking going on... and even a few photo opportunities.

As we wind down 2015, we here at the Executive Cut would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have made this year possible. We have had the privilege of providing services to some of the most amazing people and we wish them all the best as they continue on with their own journey in life.

Thank you to all the business managers, staff members, correctional officers and administrative staff that makes what we do each week possible. A huge thank you to the team at Executive Cut, we couldn’t do this without you!

2016 is just beginning – make it a great one!

Thank you to those that came out and supported us yesterday in the 2nd Annual No Shave 5k. It was a cold and windy race, with more than a few snow flurries at the end. Over 270 people participated in the event and together we helped to raise nearly $7,000.00 for prostate cancer screenings Next year promises to be bigger and faster!
