After almost 5 years I’ve decided to close Steel and Tress. This was, in no way, an easy decision, between being the mom to two small children and managing my own schedule as a busy hairstylist, I wanted to simplify my busy life and focus on myself and my family. I have made lifelong friends at Steel and Tress and am so truly blessed to have had the love and support from each one of the stylists and my clients in making this decision for myself, I will cherish my time spent at Steel and Tress and have learned a lot since owning a business. Masks will be mandatory due to the new NYS mandate effective 12-13-2021. Masks MUST be worn for the duration of your appointment REGARDLESS of vaccination status, Ages 2 and up. NYS is requiring this of us, Noncompliance comes with fines of up to $1,000 per violation so there will be no exceptions. Our objective is to keep open so we can continue to feed our families and give you gorgeous hair and a high quality experience while remaining a safe space. Thank you for understanding. Steel and Tress has taken all precautions and follow all mandated NYS guidelines to protect our clients and staff. We enforce strict mask wearing where mask must be above your nose AND mouth, mask must also be put on BEFORE entry and worn through the entirety of your time in the salon. Staff continue to wear all proper PPE, follow all sanitation procedures, and we continue to practice social distancing within our personal lives as well as whilst in the salon. -You are experiencing cough, fever, shortness of breath, congestion, headache, muscle or body aches or sore throat.
-Are living with anyone quarantined or whose been exposed or have been exposed yourself

Hey all! We have adjusted so well to our new guidelines given to us by NYS! Guidelines set into place to keep you AND us safe. It took a hot minute but we’re finally all back in our groove. Wear your mask before entering.
Give us a heads up text or call before entering.
We will take the time, before beginning your service, to take your temperature quick and then we will supply you with some hand sanitizer.
Each stylist takes the time to disinfect every and all surfaces including stations, chairs, k***s, shampoo bowls, the bathroom up and down, etc. you name it, we’ve cleaned it (about a dozen times a day)! We are in this for you and look forward to seeing each of your beautiful (masked) faces!

Salons are officially phase 2! If all goes well, phase 2 should hopefully start June 1st, We are so excited to see all of you! There will be some temporary guidelines that we will need to follow once we reopen. We at Steel And Tress Hair Co. will be strictly following these guidelines to protect not only us and our families but you and yours.

-If you have a cough, fever, have been around anyone with these symptoms or anyone who is quarantined, or have traveled by plane in the last two weeks we ask you reschedule your appointment.
-each appointment will take additional time as We will be vigorously disinfecting in between each client and to limit The number of people in the salon, You will be asked to wait in your vehicle until contacted by your stylist to come in
-masks must be worn to be permitted to enter the salon and must be worn for the full duration of your appointment
-when you enter the salon, you’ll be given hand sanitizer and your temperature will be taken (via non touch thermometer) anyone with a temperature above 99° will be rescheduled
-you must come alone, unfortunately we will not permit anyone to bring children or a visitor (parents are not allowed to accompany children receiving services)
-please do not bring food or additional drinks into the salon, we will temporarily be discontinuing beverages in salon as well
-please only bring the essentials: phone, wallet to pay, keys, etc. please keep bulky jackets, bags/purses in your vehicle

These crazy changes are only temporary and hopefully we will be back to the norm in no time! Please keep in mind that we still do not have any set opening date as it has not been approved by our Governor yet.
