We have taken a break from social media. I see all these posts that are so contrived and based on algorithms. As a business we get so caught up in portraying something online and getting ourselves out there. While this is important, we forget to just be ourselves and to build relationships by being real. When you come to Dragonfly you will experience real people living real life. We build relationships. When someone allows us to do their hair that is a big deal. They chose US. It’s not about just coloring hair and cutting hair it’s about helping someone feel better about themselves and finding an amazing look for them. Moving forward without someone you love is a tough thing. Today is our first day without Maggie at the salon. It is going to be different. Her presence will be missed today and everyday going forward. There will never be another Maggie Ballard. They broke the mold.

Dragonfly will be closed Wednesday, July 28th. We will be in Jasper celebrating the life of Maggie Ballard. She was truly an amazing human being that I was able to work with everyday. She was sassy, loving and giving and very talented. She was an amazing friend to have. Loyal, honest, hardworking, dependable and fiercely protective of those she loved. Knowing that I could always count on her was something I was so grateful for. We will miss her more than words could ever express. ❤️
