Popping up on a different platform today because this one matters to me.

I'm honored to serve as chair of the Fund Development Committee for Alabama Waldorf School here in Birmingham, and it's personal. All five of my kids have come through this school. So I'm asking you to show up for our annual WORDPLAY Adult Spelling Bee, happening September 13th at Saturn Birmingham from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

This isn't a spelling bee for kids. It's grown adults, real competition, and honestly, some tough spellers show up every year.

Here's how it works: you can't just walk in and compete. You need someone to sponsor your spot for $200. So if you know you can spell, find a friend to back you. Or if you know a great speller, sponsor them yourself. And if you get eliminated for missing a word, your people can buy you right back into the bee.

Every dollar raised goes straight back into the school. Playground upgrades, our garden, the everyday things that keep Alabama Waldorf running strong.

One more thing: if you sponsor someone, come cheer them on. It's genuinely one of the most fun nights of the year.
