UVA vs. UVB

We all know that the sun’s rays cause damage to our skin. But do you understand the difference between UVA and UVB rays? Here’s an easy way to remember: UVA rays cause aging, and UVB rays cause burning and browning of the skin. The aging, wrinkling rays are present everyday, no matter the weather or season. That’s why you need UV protection everyday. You may enjoy the tan you get from the UVB rays, but realize that those rays are responsible for most types of skin cancers. Be careful during these last few weeks of Summer and protect your skin, but don’t stop there! Keep it up year round!
