Hey blonde bombshell, are you getting as excited as I am?

We have one week to go, and I’m so excited to jump on those dark roots! Even if you’re dying to get back to your usual blonde, your appointment coming up might be a little different this time around!

Just like anyone with color - you’ve got a lot more root than usual! Depending on your usual color process, we may need to change up the order of services in your appointment, use more color, and do more foiling than usual to make sure your color is placed perfectly.

Here’s a little breakdown to give you an idea where your color falls:

Maintaining blonde : 25% foiling/balayage
Color change/shift : 50% foiling/balayage
Significant Color change/shift : 75% foiling/balayage
Color Correction : 95% foiling/balayage

All blondes vary, and the amount of color needed to achieve your look will most likely increase due to the extended time between your appointments - if you’re looking to get back to full bright bombshell status, you will fall in the significant color change/color correction range of blonding.

Once you are in my chair, we will sit down for a detailed consultation to discuss your blonde and your goals for your appointment - there’s no better time than now to explore blonde with more dimension or a deeper root for less maintenance! The best blondes are the ones that grow out seamlessly in between your appointments, and changing up where your color is placed is a great place to start for a look that lasts!

And last but not least - no matter how long your hair is, you need a haircut! Cleaning up those dead ends and shaping up your layers will bring your hair back to life and make your color pop!

After we have our schedules figured out and guidelines all set, I will begin the booking process Monday for all my clients that have been previously rescheduled first.⁠

Our booking schedules at Red are going to be more condensed than they normally are to account for social distancing within our staff and a smooth re-entry into the salon - we still have some adjusting to do and know that I am doing everything I can to accommodate you as quickly as possible! 🙏⁠

What is your new normal going to look like?

I read an interview recently that really resonated with me - the interviewee was asked about his priorities right now and shared, “At the end of the day, it’s just like, where are my people? Are they OK, and when do I get to see them again?”

This isolation has been showing me that it’s time to re-evaluate some priorities - there's nothing like having your world and career turned upside-down to make you think differently, right?⁠

From here on out, I’m committed to putting my physical and mental health at the top of the list, because you can never pour from an empty cup. I’m slowing down my daily life pace to eliminate ‘the daily grind’. And of course, just being with ‘my people’ as much as I can.

There are so many things I love about my job - the connections I have with all of my clients, making people feel amazing multiple times a day, and being able live off of a career that is fun and rewarding daily.⁠ YOU ARE ‘MY PEOPLE’, and I’m so grateful that I get to spend time with you. It is what I miss the most right now!
