Maddie the Brave, a children's book about anti-bullying, is the true story of Madison Whitsett, a nine-year old girl from Birmingham, Alabama, who took her own life in 2018 after being bullied by other students at her school. This book is written by Miss Alabama Collegiate America 2020, Noella Voight, who was inspired by her passion for writing, heard about Maddie's story after completing this book and dedicated it to her.
Madison's mom, Eugenia Williams, will be at the Sister Circle Pop Up Shop on Saturday November 9th from 11 to 4 selling copies of this book. Proceeds from this sale will support The Maddie Foundation.
