The Etheridge family mourns the loss of one of our great barbers and family member, Grant Etheridge. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin and we will always cherish all memories of him.

Johnson: Even in grief, Ethridge family honors enduring legacy of Black generational enterprise The last founder of the original Ethridge Brothers' barber shop in BIrmingham was laid to rest last week. Yet as they mourned, the family honored a legacy that not only created several Black-owned business but also inspired many to start their own successful shops.

Here is another update on the funeral for Mr. Joe Etheridge.
Visitation is Sunday, July 10th 3pm-6pm at Westside Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Mr. Etheridge's funeral will be at the Trussville Civic Center on Monday, July 11th at 11am with his burial immediately following at Zion Memorial Cemetery.
If you are unable to make it to the Trussville Civic Center on Monday, July 11th at 11am for the funeral, Westside Funeral Home in Fairfield will be showing the funeral livestream. Please visit www.westsidefunerals.co and type "Joe Etheridge" in the obituary search box and you will be directed to his page where you can view the funeral live.
Following the graveside service, the Etheridge family will return back to the Trussville Civic Center for a private repass for family, close friends and Etheridge employees.

Today, Mr. Joe Lewis Etheridge from the Etheridge Brothers at our East Lake location passed away. June 4, 2022 marked his 61st year as a barber. His consistent worth ethics and his ability to be at work everyday before 4am paved a way for a successful career as a barber. He also treated each customer as if they were the only one and each tip like it was a million dollars. His amazing advice was priceless. He will be missed.
This is just so sad.

The celebration of life for my beautiful, beloved mother Felecia Etheridge Dovi will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Twenty Third Street Missionary Baptist Church South -331 23rd Street South, Birmingham, Alabama 35233.. A celebratory pre-service musical in her honor will start at 11:30 am and her memorial will follow at 12 noon.. Family hour will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 12-3 at Arrington Funeral Home... God is still in the blessing business and we are gonna be ok.. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for my family during these trying times!!
God has blessed us to spend yet another year of life with the matriarch of our family. HAPPY 103rd BIRTHDAY MRS. ELNORA ETHERIDGE!!!!
