Participating at this level is not about prestige. It is about responsibility. Judging requires objectivity, consistency, and a commitment to professional standards that elevate our industry globally.

Representing the American Massage Therapy Institute and Spa Mariana on an international platform is a privilege, and I look forward to contributing to the advancement of excellence in therapeutic practice.

PSA: Magnesium isn’t always “harmless” if taken the wrong way ⚠️

Sharing this so it helps someone else…

I took magnesium on an empty stomach (while fasting), and instead of feeling calm, I felt:
• anxious
• lightheaded
• shaky
• almost like I might faint

At first, it felt like anxiety — but it wasn’t.
It was my nervous system reacting to a drop in blood pressure / electrolytes.

Magnesium relaxes blood vessels.
On an empty stomach (especially if you fast, drink coffee, or are dehydrated), it can hit too fast.

What I learned:
✔️ Magnesium is powerful — timing matters
✔️ Take it with food, especially if fasting
✔️ Start with a lower dose
✔️ Some forms (like citrate or oxide) are stronger on the gut
✔️ Feeling “anxious” doesn’t always mean it’s emotional — sometimes it’s physiological

I’m sharing this to prevent confusion, fear, or unnecessary panic for anyone trying to do the “right thing” for their health.

Listen to your body.
