Well well well….. out of my whole career as a hair care specialist….. I had a client to fire me today!!! She came in for a Retwist and style service but I informed her that it wasn’t time for a Retwist and that her hair still looked good. So she asked if I could touch up her locs around the front and give her a quick style. I say ok cool, so instead of applying more product to her locs I interlocked the front (one of her locks in the front I pulled a little hard bc it was stuck…. this is something that I do only when it’s not alot of hair to pull through). She said that it hurt and I replied “you’re ok” jokingly (as I do all of my interloc clients) and I continued to interloc the rest of her front (at no point did she tell me to stop) after I’m done interlocking I give her a quick style that she said she was happy with. She asked me to schedule her next appointment for two weeks so she could get the original service and I did so…. she ask how much she owes me I replied Nothing see you in two weeks… she said ok and left! About 4 hours later she text me saying she was bleeding 😳😳 followed by a pic of her scalp being red but no blood in sight!!! She wrote a long text about how she has been traumatized by other stylist and how hard it is to find a good stylist and that she would not be back!!!! I replied kindly and apologized for the way she felt she was treated and told her to apply some witch hazel and a&d ointment to the area!!!!
I’m posting this for other business owners to let you know that EVERYONE ISNT FOR YOU and that EVERYTHING YOU DO WONT MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY and that’s perfectly OKAY!!!!! Always remain PROFESSIONAL even if you know or feel that you didn’t do anything wrong.
She is the 5th Client to FIRE ME out of my 16 years in this profession and I’m quite sure she won’t be the last!!!
