Walker and Coleville residents! On Saturday, August 20th Caltrans is hosting a Free Dump Day at the Walker Transfer Station in Mono County to support efforts statewide. Get there early and please have loads sorted so that you can get unloaded quickly. Open 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or until capacity is reached. See attached flyer for acceptable items and join us! The Clean California Statewide Dump Day is Saturday, April 23rd. In Kern County, dispose of your old tires (no rims) for free at the Tehachapi, Mojave-Rosamond, Ridgecrest, and Boron Landfills, from 8am-4pm. Transport only 9 tires at a time. These locations are tire amnesty only, and capacity is limited so get there early.
