It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my amazing and truly irreplaceable clients in the Bismarck/Mandan area. Being your local esthetician and given the privilege of trusting me with your skin over the years has meant more to me than words can express. I am forever grateful for every appointment, conversation, laugh, and friendship along the way.

As bittersweet as this is, it is time for a new chapter in my life, and I will be moving out of the state. Thank you all for your continued support and loyalty throughout my journey. I will always cherish the memories and relationships I’ve built during my time here in ND 🤍

❤️HORMONAL ACNE POST❤️

Hormonal Acne is something I and very many other individuals struggle with. I have not dealt with acne since high school. Around 21 I started having monthly breakouts that would last a week, then 2 weeks, then it was all month long. What could it be, I had a great skin routine, ate fairly good, and exercised. Not until recently battling some perioral dermatitis for months, I really scaled everything back to see what was triggering these skin issues that weren’t being fixed with topicals.

Incidentally I cut out energy drinks for my personal health, switched to whole foods only, and stopped with all the sugar free sodas and fake sweeteners, and switched to fluoride free toothpaste. I also decided it was time to start a retinol. A few short months later I saw a change in my skin. Finally after years of painful hormonal acne around my jawline and chin, and 4 months straight of peri oral dermatitis.

I didn’t realize all these changes I had made would really make that big of an impact. It absolutely still matters what you are putting on your skin, but do not neglect what you are putting in your body. Your skin is your largest organ and your protective barrier. If you are doing all the right things, but something inside isn’t quite right, it can and will show through the skin.
