Hi, all!
I can't begin to thank you all enough for the prayers, condolences, love and kindness you all have shown our family as we navigate the loss of our precious son. Chase will forever be missed, and we will rejoice on the day we finally get to be reunited with him. It has soothed us so much seeing just how loved he is by so very many of you. The support is appreciated beyond what words can touch.

I am very slowly easing my way back into being behind the chair. I do not have online booking open just yet, but I can absolutely be messaged to schedule appointments! I will also be reaching out to those of you I know have been waiting to get a spot secured before Christmas.

Nothing will ever feel "normal" after a loss of this magnitude, but I do look so forward to seeing you all, laughing, sharing memories and creating some amazing hair!

Hello again, friends! 💜 We are officially half way through radiation! Chase has been handling it with so much bravery, grace and absolutely fierce strength! I'm so excited for him to get through this, and for us all to get back to some normalcy. D.C. has been lovely, but this is home!

Some of our amazing family friends have organized this benefit for Chase tomorrow. We're super happy to say that we are home for the weekend, and will be bringing Chase tomorrow! He's very excited to enjoy some time and see everyone, and we are, too.

We'd love to see any of you that can make it tomorrow! Please feel free and welcome to come out, enjoy food, and say hi to us and our little man!

Hi, friends! I want to start by apologizing for my lack of updates. We've been getting into the groove of our new routine here in D.C. and haven't had an abundance of spare time. But, we are all adjusting!
Chase has been doing a WONDERFUL job staying strong and upbeat! He completed day 10 of proton radiation today. So far, he's been blessed to have very few side effects from the radiation and the chemo.
We've been enjoying time where we can together, and with the wonderful team and families also staying here at the Ronald McDonald House. I can't say enough good things about how genuinely amazing the staff here is!
Chase's care team have been very happy with his progress so far. We're already beginning to see some improvements with some of his glioma symptoms.
As of right now, my plan is to be back full time behind the chair in early September! I will be reaching out to those of you who still need to be rescheduled, or need appointments in general. I am ITCHING to see you all and get back to doing what I love!

Hi, all!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update on my son’s health. Many of you already know the circumstances, and your compassion, patience, and support have meant the world to us.

After nearly a year of uncertainty and hospital stays, we finally have answers. Chase has been diagnosed with a glioma following a biopsy at UVA. This has fast-tracked a treatment plan, and we recently traveled to Sibley Hospital in D.C. for a proton radiation consult. Proton therapy is the best option for Chase, though it means we’ll be spending the next six weeks living in D.C. while he receives radiation five days a week, along with oral chemo and a metabolic treatment.

We’re incredibly grateful for his care team, and feel hopeful moving forward. They are a phenomenal team of wonderful people. We don’t have an exact start date yet, but should know more by early next week.

Given the curveball being thrown, some of my appointments may need to be rescheduled or referred out. I’ll contact anyone affected directly once our timeline is clear so I can make sure you'll be 100% taken care of.

Life has been absolutely INSANE, but - I am still creating! Having amazing people (such as Lilly here!) in my chair that encourage me to have fun with their hair is such a lovely source of stress relief.

We opted for teasylights to break up some serious regrowth - this made her root blend in seamlessly. Topped with a magenta overlay to get her feeling like herself again! I love creating looks that prove you can have vivid color and still have a lived in effect. 💜
