Are you using your dry shampoo correctly?
You apply it to your roots and it will soak up any oils and dirt and then you walk around with a totally refreshed look!
But wait...there is more! Most people rub or spray it into the hair and leave it but you need to remove the product to actually get rid of the excess dirt and oils.
So try this tip...Apply the dry shampoo at the roots and then blast it with your blow dryer!!
Visit us today at Salon 10 for all your hair product needs or to make an appointment with one of our fabulous stylists!

COVID -19 Preparedness Plan

for SALON 10

May 25th, 2020

Our Three Sons, Inc. d/b/a Salon 10 is excited to announce the re-opening of our establishment on June 1st, 2020. We have developed the following plan for all of our clients and our stylists/barbers to be able to practice their skills in the most safe and effective way that we can in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. All of the stylists/barbers who work at Salon 10 have endured both financial and emotional hardships due to this pandemic and while we are very excited to re-open, our main concern will be the health and safety of those who enter our establishment. We at Salon 10 do not see our clients as customers only...we see many of you as friends and family. It has been difficult to have been separated from our friends and family during this time so we ask that everyone entering our establishment take our plan with the thoughtfulness and seriousness that was given to develop it.

On June 1st, we will be working at 25% of our capacity load which was determined by the State Fire Marshall and will be enforced by the Blaine Fire Department. The number we have been given is 7 clients maximum that will be allowed in our salon at any one given time. If the date of June 15th, 2020 stands as the next phase of re-opening, we will be allowed to have a maximum of 13 clients in the salon at one given time. We have adjusted schedules and worked diligently to be prepared to work within these guidelines.

All of the stylists and barbers are independent renters and are not employees of Salon 10, so they will be in control of scheduling their own appointments, cleaning and disinfecting their own stations and receiving their own payments for their services. Phone numbers for each stylist will be posted on the front door of the building and available during working hours. We ask that you do not call the main phone line during this time as we will not be able to return calls as timely as we would like to. Please contact your stylist/barber directly via their cell phone to make all appointments or contact them when you arrive at the salon.

WHAT WE ASK OF EACH CLIENT…

1..DO NOT enter our establishment if you have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19. If you have any symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, chills, unexplained muscle ache, headache or new loss of taste or smell) we also ask that you contact your stylist and re-book your appointment for a later date. While we understand that you have been waiting a long time to get your hair done, we absolutely do not want to risk the health of our clients, stylists or have any reason to have to close the salon once again. Please cancel your appointment and reschedule for a minimum of 14 days later.

2... Per government order, ALL clients will be required to wear a mask at ALL times while at our establishment. We do understand that at times this may create a hindrance to our work...so if need be you will be asked to remove one side at a time or hold a towel over your face. We can debate whether masks work to prevent spread of the disease and we can have different opinions of whether the government should mandate these requirements but we ask that for the “health” of our establishment, that you abide by this regulation.

3.. We kindly ask that you have patience with each of your stylists/barbers as they have scheduled and rescheduled so many appointments. They have been trying to keep up with the constant changes and communicate those to the best of their ability. They would love to get everyone in as soon as possible...which of course, is just not possible. If you have left a message and have not gotten a response back from them, please try again and know they are doing their best.

4.. In order to be compliant with our 25% or 50% capacity limitations, we ask that you do not enter the establishment until notified to do so. Each stylist/barber will have their own way of handling this situation. We will not have a “waiting” room available. All phone numbers for stylists at Salon 10 will be posted on our front door during business hours. We will be allowed to only see one client per stylist at a time. We do understand there may be circumstances for special needs cases.. We ask you to contact your stylist directly if this applies to you and we will work out a scenario as deemed appropriate.

5.. We ask that you maintain a 6 feet social distance to the best of your ability and respect those around you.

6.. Lastly, we ask for your continued support and patience during the next few weeks or months. We are venturing into uncharted waters. Some of your stylists/barbers will be working long and tiring hours. They will be required to wear masks and clean and disinfect between each and every client. Anything you can do to make this situation easier on them, will be greatly appreciated. We promise to do our best for you!

WHAT WE ASK OF EACH STYLIST/BARBER

1. DO NOT come to work if you have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19. You will be asked to refrain from entering the building for a minimum of 14 days after diagnosis. If you have any symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, chills, unexplained muscle ache, headache or new loss of taste or smell) DO NOT come to work. Please see a doctor and/or get tested before returning to work.

2. Per government order, you will be required to wear a mask or other protective face covering at ALL times when in the building. It will be difficult to work long hours and will be difficult to have conversations with clients so please take breaks as needed and limit your time with clients to only as essential. While it may be a long time since you have seen your client...during this phase we should limit the “socializing” aspect of our business to the best of our ability. This also may or may not include having to limit some services such as blow drying hair or styling. As much as it is our desire to give our clients the “whole” package, limiting the amount of time spent with each client should be the norm for the present situation.

3. To maintain our 25% or 50% capacity, you will be limited to working the number of shifts within the guidelines agreed upon to date. During these restrictions, you will not be able to work any time other than your scheduled shift, under no circumstances.

4. You will be only able to service one customer at a time and you will need to schedule that customer and monitor their entrance and exit from the building. If you have a special needs customer, please contact the owner to make arrangements at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.

5. Please maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times possible. If you are working long hours and want to take breaks or need to eat, please be respectful of others in community rooms. If you use the breakroom, please wipe down your chair and table with disinfectant that will be provided.

6. No one is an employee of Salon 10 so they will be required to maintain their own business finances and station, You will need to provide your own disenfectant supplies to maintain your implements and your chair, station and shampoo bowl. You will not be able to use any other station than the one you personally rent. Out of respect for others and their valuable time, please stay out of any one else station and keep your clients out as well. No one should share any equipment or ppe without consent. All rules and regulations for the MN Board of Cosmetology and the MN Board of Barbers for sanitation must be followed. Please read and make sure you are familiar with all requirements.

Stay Clean…tcm21-432901.pdf

7. Please wash your hands or a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and water between each client or when you come in contact with common areas.

8. Please provide your own personal protective equipment. If you do not have disposable capes, you will need to store used capes in a covered container and bring them home to wash according to the standards mandated by the MN Board.

WHAT EXPECT FROM SALON 10

1. Your health and safety will be our #1 priority.

2. We have sanitized and cleaned the entire salon and will continue to clean and disenfect all common areas throughout the day and on a daily basis. We will monitor each and every station within our building and adhere to all guidelines, rules and regulations of the government of MN, the city of Blaine and the Board of Cosmetology and Board of Barbers.

3.. We will not be able to provide a “waiting” room, complimentary beverages or magazines or newspapers. We have cleared out all non-essential items. You will still be able to purchase your favorite hair products at any time during business hours!

4. We will provide hand sanitizer in common areas, disposable towels in bathrooms and as much toilet paper as we can get our hands on!!

5. We will do our best to uphold our sense of humor, our professionalism and our utmost respect for each person who enters and supports our establishment and continue to communicate and update both clients and stylists to the best of our ability as we navigate these waters together.
