Turning mountains and rivers into soaps and candles. Besides making soap and candles, I love spending time with family, they're my world! My other love is yoga.
We live in the mountains of North Georgia and are in awe with the beauty of the Appalachian region and nature in general. We feel immensely lucky to live here in the beautiful Choestoe Valley and our mission is to create a little piece of nature and Appalachia for you. I also love music, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing (when I am lucky enough) and pretty much anything where I get to spend time outside. I'm an avid lover of books, the old-fashioned kind. I am in the process of becoming a certified yoga instructor. It has helped me grow both mentally and physically and I am excited to share that with others! Back to Sunrise Wick & Wash...
All of our soaps and candles are handmade in small batches using high quality fragrance and essential oils. It's all nature inspired and my soap is the old-fashioned kind, cold-process, lye soap. My hope is that you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy making each one and that you feel a connection to our beloved Appalachia each time you use one. We are SOO incredibly thankful for all my family, friends and customers who have supported Sunrise Wick & Wash these last years! You have no idea how much your support means! ✨Ember Peaks✨ Our new Blood Mountain soap Grace designed & made! 😍
Standing at 4,458 feet, Blood Mountain is the highest peak on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and the state’s sixth highest mountain. It’s an extra special mountain to us since our little shop is at the base of Blood. Inspired by this North Georgia landmark, this soap captures the spirit of the Mountain with an adventurous, yet familiar blend of fireside smoke, tangerine, patchouli, cedar, and bergamot. The red mountain to signify all our red Georgia clay. Now available online and in our stores. 🧡 Happy Sunday, guys!

We need your help! Grace made two different styles of our Sunrise Pumpkin Patch and we can’t decide which one we like best. So, we’re asking you guys to decide this year’s design. The first one is what soap maker’s call an, “in the bucket swirl,” and it turns out more marbled. The second is a “drop swirl.” Whatcha think? Which one’s your fave? Comment below! First or second🎃🧡

Hidden Choestoe bunny 🟰FREE soap! 🐰🛁
Our home base is located in the Choestoe Valley, at the base of Blood Mountain in the North Georgia Mountains. Choestoe comes from the Cherokee name, tsistu-yi, meaning, “rabbit place,” or “place of the rabbits.” And we do have a lot of them! It seems we have so many bunnies, they’re jumping in the soap! If you happen to find one, you get a free bar of soap with your next purchase! A little about this game…
🐰 Soaps with hidden bunnies are sold at Sunrise Grocery in Blairsville, Sunrise on Blue Ridge, and online.
🪄 Bunnies are hidden in all of our soaps, not just Wildflower Ridge. We just used this one for an example. So, whether your fave soap is Sunset on Blue Ridge, Mountain Berry, Lordamercy, etc., bunnies can appear outta nowhere!
🐰 To get your free bar, just snap a photo of your bunny and tag us on social media. Then, next time you buy soap, either at one of our Sunrise shops or online, you can pick whatever soap you want for your free bar.
