Hello! This is Tani! I am going to be returning to Avodah tomorrow, in limited capacity. My intention is to keep standing appointments morning through mid- late afternoon.

Please understand if I need to modify that schedule, as my intention is based on not knowing how each day will go.

Front office operations will be returning to normal, as well. Our REST float pod is exhilarating, the saunas are a different actually refreshing heat, and our red light blanket is beneficial in oh so many ways!
We welcome you to stop in and check it all out!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and I’ll also be reaching out to confirm or delay appointments.

Thank you so very much for your patience, understanding, and show of love!

Hey there, It’s Tani! I want to sincerely thank all of you for your amazing showing of support for our family!

I am grateful for the space we’ve built at Avodah, and who we’ve built it with- and it shows!

Because I know where Im headed and who I’m headed there with, I’m intending to head back Monday for partial full days, And I do not feel pressured to do so.

That said- I will ask for grace if my anticipated plan ends of looking like a toddlers finger painting instead of a straight line.

Thank you- all of you- for your outpouring of support!

It is with enormous sadness and devastation that I share this. As most of you know, Joe is my everything- Joe and our kids, all five of them!

I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but I suppose it is important to address logistics. Kayla has been doing an amazing job at the front of all of the things, Dena and Jo (along with future crew) have been handling the in between, and Kyra has been amazing at taking my babbling, translating it, and passing it forward. Big big BIG thank you to each of them!!
That said- hours may be w***y.
In full transparency I don’t even know what day of the week it is let alone if we are open.

The kids think I should try to return Wednesday- and I believe they are right. I don’t do well with idle time, and I’ve crafted my days to build true relationships with each of my people- so what a better way to ease back in than with each of you!
If I can’t do it… The LMT’s that are or will be part of Avodah (are, but… a little more time and a couple more walls need to make it official) have put a plan in place!

Thank you all! My wonderful, amazing, precious husband is free to run (well, maybe not run- he wasnt a fan LOL!) once again- he and his feet are made whole!!

Hello! It’s Tani! I’m here looking for someone- a woman stopped into the shop this past Saturday trying to book a two hour massage appointment and a REST float for Thursday July 9.

The whole shebang seemed important as well as the booking specifics.

While that date is full, I want to see if I can help her out- unfortunately leaving without a name or phone number given, this is the best reach I’ve got.

If this is you, please stop back in, call or text 734-850- 7554, message through Facebook or email [email protected]

Thank you!! 🧡
Tani

It was the Red Bull that did me in 😭😭😭 On my crazy early start/ late finish days, Myah would often quietly leave me a redbull, Swedish fish, and instant cup mashed potatoes to fuel to day (by far not the only fuel or even the always fuel- I feel I should add 😆😆😆)!!! ALWAYS accompanied by a cute note!

I’m not crying… You’re crying!!!

Myah, it has been a true honor to watch you mold your massage career, navigating how this looks to your truth while also staying true to field standards.

It has been an honor to share space with who YOU are- career aside!

It has been a gift not only to each of the Avodah whole, but to us personally, to watch your career blossom and navigate the course with YOU!!

Best of luck to you, in your next steps!!

Thank you, Myah, for choosing Avodah
🧡🫶🏻😭

💗, Tani

This class was baller. It was so very much everything of strength, coordination, mental gymnastics.

And my foundation, with LMT Refinery/Michigan- Rachel and Massage Livingston, LLC was all of the above, just first.

And, I am so very glad for first foundations- laying those neural pathways! Why? Because I feel so confident to start this week! While I haven’t started table based Ashi in my practice (yet!), Ashi held my hand and said: “let’s do this Sarga thing, too!”

One of my classmates- CJ - summarized an article that talked about when you get frustrated and ready to quit, that’s when your brain is rewiring and learning- that’s the sweet spot!
For sure I hit the ‘sweet spot’ HARD on day three (I only considered it days one and two).
I was ready to chuck it in the… Well- a certain bucket, pop a ✌️ peace sign and dart.
That’s what I wanted to do anyway. For about two hours.
However that article CJ told us about tickled my brain!

You guys… This was HARD. But I’m harder. 😜
With about a million “I’m sorry’s” (iykyk) I got out of my way and did this!!!
Despite the demand of my body, despite the several negotiations, despite the imposter syndrome: despite all of it.
I showed up and committed with 7 other students, our instructor, one puppers (Pickle was awesome), founder of Massage Livingston: hosting each of us along with sheer presence, bolstering confidence, ‘mom’ looking me when I approached with the wrong foot, and simply sharing in a space that has shaped a life I never thought I’d step into (pun intended 😜)
Each of us wove this class together in our own way, and a way that ‘fit’.
This class fit so well we committed to a fall training together!

Anyway- why the novella? Well, I guess I was sparked when I saw Rachel repost Arielle’s post from Firebird Bodyworks- the two serving as our leaders, instructors, confidence holders of Sarga- well, it was pretty cool!
Thank you so much for being here! I look forward to bringing this to Avodah. I look forward to meeting YOU at the table!
🧡,
Tani

Day FOUR!!! What an amazing experience! I look forward to unpacking it all and incorporating into session! My intention is this week- but this girl needs a different table for the best success!

What a fitting way to start this day. Walking into the space (aptly of the same name) today, I immediately knew this is how I needed to start today- a reminder of the newness of this day and also to make space to ‘let go’.

Grateful for my class mate, Quinn’s, invite.

Walking out, the soft rain and ominous skies somehow seemed fitting.

There has been a pattern in people that just keep showing up in my life, and it’s not unnoticed. Sometimes the biggest exhale and safest spaces are simply who shows up- not in a challenging way, but in a soft and present way. In a way that just organically patterns.
That’s what I’ve been finding, lately- and I’m paying attention.

Wrapping this up, the storms have rolled in- And they’re beautiful!

Here’s to day three of learning! And - OF COURSE- I have my snackies and Juice! 😂

This space and time feels good. It feels as natural as something new can. And it feels appropriately directional for where this chapter is supposed to have me.

I’m grateful to those of you that have been in journey with me at each step of the way!
