Looking for the difference between IPL and Laser?
IPL is similar to a laser treatment. However, a laser focuses just one wavelength of light at your skin, while IPL releases light of many different wavelengths, like a photo flash.
The light from IPL is more scattered and less focused than a laser. IPL penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis), so it causes less damage to your skin.
Pigment cells in your skin absorb the light energy, which is converted into heat. The heat destroys the unwanted pigment to clear up freckles and other spots. Or, it destroys the hair follicle to prevent the hair from growing again.
You can use IPL anywhere on your body, but it may not work as well on uneven areas. It isn’t recommended for people who tend to get thick, raised keloid scars or who have darker skin tones. It’s also not as effective on light-colored hair as it is on darker hair.

How does microneedling work?
Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue.
This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.

Why are follow up sessions needed for laser hair removal?
Follow-up treatments are necessary to get the most out of laser hair removal! The exact number of maintenance laser treatments varies by individual. Most people need between four and six laser therapy sessions.
You also need to space these out by six weeks each — this means that the full treatment cycle can take up to nine months.
After each session, you’ll likely notice fewer hairs. Any hair that remains or regenerates will also be lighter in both texture and color.
Additionally, for the best results, you’ll likely need occasional maintenance sessions. These help ensure that the hair follicles don’t regenerate. Depending on your individual needs, you may need a maintenance session once or twice a year after your full initial round of laser treatment.
The timeline for each session is the same as your initial laser hair removal treatment. Overall, the timing depends on the area of treatment. If you’re touching up just a few small areas during your maintenance sessions, then your appointment may be shorter! ✨

Have you been struggling with acne for your whole life?Did you know that we have a treatment that elimates acne entirely?
PepFactor is a bioidentical, authentic complex protein, meaning that it is accepted by the body and initiates the production of fibroblast in the cells which results in large amounts of collagen and elastin created in the skin naturally! It’s administered in the form of a serum applied directly to the skin.
PepFactor can help attain clearer and/or younger looking skin, reduce wrinkles, diminish scarring and eliminate acne so that you not only feel your best, but look your best! 👏🏼

A Hydrafacial is sometimes called “hydradermabrasion” because it involves microdermabrasion-like exfoliation paired with hydrating serums.
The noninvasive procedure is similar in principle to a regular facial you might get from a spa but is said to provide more dramatic results.
This is achieved by a mechanized wand used on your skin to deeply clean and exfoliate while delivering serums customized to your skin type.

Laser Hair Removal vs Waxing:
Pros of waxing:
✦ For a single session, waxing is much less expensive than laser hair removal. However, if you get wax treatments regularly for years, it can end up costing you even more than laser treatment.
✦Waxing is effective for all hair types, skin types, and skin tones.
Cons of waxing:
✦It can be especially painful in sensitive areas of the body, such as the ears, bikini line, and underarms.
✦Can also cause ingrown hairs. It does not destroy the root of the hair; it simply pulls the hair from the follicle. The hair will grow back, and when it does, it could become ingrown.
Pros of laser:
✦Laser hair removal is the best hair removal method if you’re looking for long-term results. Some people see permanent results, while most enjoy results that last for months or years.
✦If you’re trying to save time, laser hair removal is the way to go. The sessions are quick and easy.
✦Laser hair removal is safe and doesn’t do any long-term damage to the skin
Cons of laser:
✦Almost anyone can get laser hair removal, but it is most effective on people with light skin and dark hair. If you have dark skin or light hair, consult with a certified laser technician about your options.
✦Laser hair removal is much more expensive than a single waxing session. But as a long-term hair removal method, it can actually be more cost-effective over time.
Overall, Laser Hair removal is an investment that delivers LONG TERM RESULTS.

The most common microneedling questions:
1. Am I a good candidate for this treatment?
The best candidate for collagen induction therapy is anyone who has not used isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past three months, does not have any open wounds, abrasions or cuts, has not had radiation skin treatment within the past 12 months and is not suffering from an active skin infection, herpes simplex at the treatment site or other skin condition.
The best candidate also is neither pregnant nor nursing and does not have a history of hypertrophic or keloid scars or poor wound healing!
Unlike many other laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones because the treatment does not damage the epidermis. It is safe for treating sensitive or fragile areas, such as the back of the hands, skin on the neck and around the eyes. When performed by a professional, the risk of hyperpigmentation is mitigated.
2. What should I avoid after the treatment?
After treatment, you should avoid any skin care product with acidic active ingredients, retinol or AHAs (glycolic acid). You should avoid these products for two to three days. You should also wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 35 to avoid sun damage.
For the first 72 hours after treatment, reapply sunscreen every four to six hours. Clothing does not offer adequate protection from the sun. Do your best to avoid being outdoors between 10 AM and 2 PM for the first three days after treatment.
3. How do I care for my skin after treatment?
Besides applying sunscreen regularly, there are not a lot of special skin care steps you need to take. If you’re using collagen induction therapy to treat acne scars, use a gentle cleanser to clean your face every night and morning for 72 hours after treatment. Makeup, lotion and other skin care products can be used as normal after treatment.
Prescription antibiotics are unnecessary because the micro wounds close so quickly after treatment!
