And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””

The School Daze

The First Day of School
"In the beginning, there was God. Then,God made man; and man grew hair. Suddenly, there was a serious need for grooming."

Those were the first words spoken, on that first day of barber college, more than 20 years ago. Our instructor, Mr. Bee, added
that, "You are entering the second oldest profession in the world.Anyone want to guess what the oldest might be?Prostitution?" one of the other newbies said, like Ricard Pryor. So, that is the reason men make waiting in
line for a haircut part of their weekly
regimen? To look good for prostitutes?
All could think was, "This school thing is gonna be a wild ride, for sure." And, indeed it was! I needed
more! I was drawn into the advertisement that said I would learn all aspects of hair
and hairstyling. I would learn 'unisex' and 'multi-cultural'. What a disappointment! I would never say I didn't learn anything,because this book twenty five years later)m
is still more fruit from that experience. But,I did have to continue on looking to fill my
own void, learning, imagining and creating to build my personal experiences I needed
more! I was drawn into the advertisement that said I would learn all aspects of hair
and hairstyling. I would learn 'unisex' and 'multi-cultural'. What a disappointment! I would never say I didn't learn anything,because this book wenty five years later, is still more fruit from that experience, to build my relate experiences into my business. Believe me, there's more journey ahead for me, because this search is not over.
We are forever learning, and forever
growing, in life. It is time that someone rise up to leave a positive mark in this industry.

Tomb 45 is a fascinating case of tomb reuse: the tomb was constructed and partially decorated with painted scenes and texts around 1400 BCE for Djehuty and his family. In the Ramesside period, the tomb was reused by Djehutyemheb and his family. Even though the practice of tomb reuse may call to mind images of usurpation, tomb robbery and destruction, this particular tomb was reused in a non-destructive manner and with consideration for the memory of the first tomb owner. The second tomb owner left most of the existing decoration in its original state and added his own decoration to wall sections that had been left undecorated by the first tomb owner. He also partially retouched and repainted some of the original paintings, thus updating them to contemporary style and (personal) taste. For example, garments, wigs, and furniture depicted in the tomb were altered, and new texts were added to the existing decoration.
