There is so much joy I get in doing a perm on a men’s cut! The volume and texture you get is incredibly satisfying! Though of course this doesn’t come without some maintenance, but so worth the outcome!

One of the maintenance tips is knowing your natural hair strength and how to use product to your advantage! Them new curls need help staying fresh, and that usually means a little product!
A small dab of curling cream does wonders to smooth out those curls. The best one to find is one that’s very light on your hair so it doesn’t weight the curls down.
Making sure not to use too much is always important too! Always start with less than you think you need an work more@in as you see the need!

Men’s Perms are very in right now and I can not wait to do more! Josh is always a treat to work with and I enjoy even time I get to have him in my chair!

For all of my friends new to this profile let me introduce myself!

At the age of 13 my cousin put purple in my hair for The Homecoming Dance and it was all over. I fell in love with Color in that moment. Seeing how a whole look can change with a few splashes of vibrant purple. It’s probably why I love purple so much!

Over the years I begged friends to let me color their hair, cut their hair, and when they said no I just colored and cut my own hair.

When college finally came I decided to go to school for psychology, but that didn’t stop me from coloring. I still had many people come to me for coloring.

When I finally took time off school in between getting married and my daughters being born, Tim and I decided I would go back to school. Looking at the overwhelming amount of school I’d have to do in order to finish my degree I thought, I love hair color, why not do that.

As hard as that year was on my whole family I wouldn’t change that decision for anything! I have found so much more joy and creativity in this industry than ever before. Having artistic friends all my life I was never able to find my niche, but I have 100% found it now.

There is so much art to be found in hair color and cutting. So much passion to be found as well. I’ve meet some amazing people who drive me to be a better stylist not only for all of you but for me as well.

In this time of uncertainty with our world I’m so thankful to still have a drive and passion for an industry that’s been dramatically affected world wide by Covid-19. I am still hopeful for a bigger and brighter future around the corner of all of this, one where we are all safe, happy, and at peace.

As the holiday season approaches remember to be looking towards all the good that is happening, all the joy that we take for granted when the negative is so in our faces. I keep looking at the fact that I still am open, my clients feel safe, and they are so good at communicating with me about what’s going on with them!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me In not only the journey to opening my own space but also during this whole pandemic. Your support touches me beyond words and I couldn’t have gotten this far without you!
