Gato Noir Studio

Many of you know my mother passed away 2 years ago of Alzheimer's. I decided this year to get involved in the Walk to End Alz and am going to be a team captain. I've also been asked if Gato Noir Studio's was going to produce more cards. Yes, I am going to work something up with the well-known Alzheimer's flowers as a theme. It will also have my beloved black cat, but 100% of the proceeds will go to Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Kim Parker Klingbeil, I'll need your help!! heart emoticon ) I will then auction the original painting as another way to raise money. Stay tuned!! I'll let those who have asked specifically once it is ready.

Gato Noir Studio will be working on some new stuff this weekend. The last of the orders will be mailed by the end of the week. Thanks to you I was able to send in a donation to Alzheimer's Assoc & Baxter and Rocky's Charity (BaRc). This time I need to redirect the donation. (sorry in advance, this turned out to be a little long) Every day I am seeing different cats at the studio & on my way to the studio yesterday morning I saw a cat run across the street behind a place that as I started thinking about is ripe for a stray cat population. There are apartments across the way & the Knights of Columbus has dumpsters set up, so again perfect breeding ground for stray cats. So efforts will be to start trapping & neutering for the next Spay Day through Sterile Feral in Nov. So 100% of anything I make from the next group of orders will be to go towards that effort. I've seen at least 4 cats at the studio & 2 in this other area. Through this effort 2 more colonies will be established (one has already been established by my feeding, now I have to trap them). I will be caring for these colonies which are right outside the door at the studio & the other on my way to the studio. This is in addition to the colony I have at home that also needs to have a new cat trapped & altered. So I will be working feverishly this weekend on some new art. Any suggestions on what people would like to see...I'm open!! If I can pull it off, I will. Again, 100% of anything you purchase will be to go to helping me get these colonies established with all altered cats and the extra expense I have incurred with the feeding. Sterile Feral provides everything for the one colony I feed on Wed, but I can't overburden them with the expense of these other cats. They will be altered through Sterile Feral but their ongoing care will be an additional expense for me. So now through Jan 100% will help these cats.

Thanks to your support I just made a donation to BaRc & Alzheimer's Association. Finishing up some paintings for an order, hopefully will be completed today & will have time to start some new ones next week. Stay tuned!!

Well, cards are not going to be cost effective. Unless someone committed to buying a slew of just one print to be a card, it would cost too much to produce just a few cards. Just to set up the card it would be $5.00 & then extra for the cards, envelope, etc. So not sure that is going to be available for now. So I have some new stuff up now. And will be posting more over the next few days. Keep in mind holidays are coming up, so some of these would make great gifts!!! Especially if you are going to want originals, get your order in early so I can get it to you in time. If I have to ship it I will unfortunately need to charge shipping.
