Proof that you can still swell even after the 3 month mark after getting surgery 😮💨
And yes massages are still very beneficial even months or years after.
Do what your body is asking for and you will feel soooo much better 👏🏼👏🏼
Post-Op healing is not a once size fits all, some heal faster, some heal slower. You can do everything on the books or absolutely nothing and still heal the same way you should be.
But one thing for sure, your body will thank you for taking care of it during its hardest times ✨✨

When they really need a massage but can’t come to you and you can’t carry over 20lbs just yet….
At first I thought she was kidding when she said kitchen island….
Safe to say the kitchen island did not disappoint 👏🏼👏🏼

The roles have switched and the post- op massage therapist is the one getting a lymphatic massage 🥰🥰
As some of you know, I underwent surgery -hysterectomy- and didn’t think I needed massages but man did I really need them.
I definitely downplayed the swelling for this surgery even though it is a major surgery😅🫣
I definitely looked 7 months pregnant for the first two weeks. And I can say…..
Man is swelling UMCOMFORTABLE 😩🙃
I was humbled real quick and the only thing that made me feel better was *drumroll please*…..
MASSAGES & COMPRESSION!!!
And if it wasn’t tight enough I blew up like a balloon and was in pain 😭😭
Even though I knew this was going to be a major surgery and change to my body, I did not expect to swell and need the same requirements as a cosmetic surgery😭😭
The other thing was the itching! It was in a small area but man is that a crazy feeling!!
I used to advocate to get massages for all kinds of surgeries with focus on cosmetic surgeries, but now I can say, If you plan on getting ANY major surgery, massages are a must!!! Not just because of the water retention but because of the comfort it brings. And how much better you feel after!!
