If 2016 me met 2026 me…she wouldn’t even believe what I had to say.

I didn’t even know Kris in 2016. I had never left the country, I really hadn’t traveled much at all…and I definitely had no idea what the next 10 years were going to look like.

And the entire time we were on vacation I just kept thinking about how proud I am of myself. And how proud I am of Kris. For how far we’ve come in life, how far I’ve come in life, and this incredibly beautiful family we have been fighting for since day one. Life has absolutely put us through the trials and tribulations…but somehow we always seem to come out of it better than we were before.

In 10 years I’ve been to nine countries. I started educating for a brand that I genuinely love. I built a salon home in an amazing space with an incredibly talented group of women. I’ve gotten to travel all over Illinois and Indiana educating salons, meeting so many people and doing something that 2016 me probably wouldn’t have even known to dream about yet.

And obviously there is SO much more that happened in between all of that…the good, the bad, the really fu***ng hard, the beautiful, the things that completely changed us.

Sometimes when you’re in the middle of living your life you don’t really see how far you’ve come because you’re already thinking about what’s next.

But looking back at the last 10 years and seeing how the story has unfolded is really something.

2016 me would have a million questions…but I think more than anything…she would be really fu***ng proud of me. And I’m damn proud of her too!! 💛🧡💛🧡

Hairstylist, educator, wife, mama, plant lover, chicken lady, and always planning my next adventure. I love my career and the opportunities it’s brought me, but I love coming home to my family, my animals, and my little jungle just as much.
Some days I’m teaching, some days I’m doing hair, and some days I’m just trying to keep all my plants alive, and create more 😂

Life is busy, a little chaotic, and never boring. But it’s mine, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

After the year we’ve had, I’m welcoming ALL the good vibes, positive energy, and a little extra protection going into this next season. 🧿

Today’s nail inspiration was the Turkish evil eye, also known as the Nazar. Traditionally, it’s believed to protect against negative energy, jealousy, and ill intentions by reflecting them away from you…And while I know a little nail art isn’t going to change the world, I love the symbolism behind it. A reminder to protect your peace, trust your intuition, and be intentional about the energy you allow into your life!

This next season is about healing, happiness, new adventures, and making room for all the beautiful things coming our way!
So here’s to good energy, a little protection, and a whole lot of gratitude for everything we’ve made it through. 💙
