In the bodywork profession, it is essential to get bodywork on a regular basis. Arranging trades with other bodyworkers is a great way to keep up with your wellness. It is also a great way to be able to confidently recommend another practitioner. Yesterday, I was privileged to trade services with Sebastian McGowan, a Massage Therapist who specializes in Thai Massage, and Iβm impressed! I feel so much better today and am happily aniticipating our next trade session. I highly recommend this heart-centered therapist! He is committed to always learning more techniques to better serve his clients, and I feel really blessed to have such a talented, mobile therapist in my body worker family π

To those who have like my page and are reading this: Hi! I've missed you! Let's do some reading together.
I wanted to share this issue of Body Sense Magazine with you. This free publication is made available through Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals to share with clients. We know that this education can really enhance your massage experience. From preparing one's body prior to a massage session, to quieting one's mind during session, and to getting some extra sleep post-session, being additionally prepared will help you get the most out of your session and further the therapeutic potential of the work you are receiving.

I am now completed with nursing school, so even during this time of testing then steps to beginning work as a Registered Nurse, my schedule is a lot lighter and I am ready to re-incorporate massage practice into my schedule. And I am so happy to be back!

During this uncertain time, transparency of information and approach to decision-making can help us all.
Here is the latest information given to members of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals regarding the timeline to begin practicing their modalities and what new infection-transmission reduction protocols we will be using in our practices.
I can assure you that I will only begin practicing again when I have been assured from the proper scientific authorities that my work will not endanger public health. Please comment or send me a message if you have feedback or questions. Massage is a therapy that I truly enjoy providing and this time is quite sad as I sincerely miss the practice and mostly miss all my wonderful clients. I am so blessed to have worked with such amazing people β¨πβ¨
Although the timing of this is yet unknown-I WILL see you again and look forward to that so much β¨πβ¨

We hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. The past month has been perhaps the most trying we collectively have experienced in our lives. For those members planning to get back to work or seriously contemplating doing so, what follows is a hierarchy of ideas and precautions we strongly encourage you to consider for yourself, your practice, and your clients. We do emphasize the reality that while these may be ways to make your practice safer, there is no known way to eliminate the risk of transmission and infection. There simply is no risk-free environment in which to conduct business today. What we have developed is a very thorough look at the issues and challenges you will face when you resume your practice. abmp.com/back-to-practice

I sincerely miss my clients and feel VERY sad to not offer massage at this time in my life.
I also was receiving regularly-scheduled professional massage sessions, so I can offer true understanding when I say that I know how it feels to go without massage when that has been a part of oneβs wellness lifestyle.
This ABMP article is a good picture of the thought process of professional Massage Therapists right now. I will be once again available for clients when we can all safely get back to it! β¨π€β¨
