David has been busy this spring, and the garden is looking amazing! This year's garden is filled with:

Everything is growing beautifully, and we're already enjoying some fresh garden harvests right here at Kinnaman Farms. But there's one thing in the garden that we didn't actually plant... 🎃

Do you remember all the pumpkins so many of you donated to our goats last fall? Well, this is where the goats enjoyed their pumpkin treats. Take a look at all that lush green growth along the fence line! Those are VOLUNTEER PUMPKINS! 🎃🎃🎃

The gifts you shared with our goats last year are still giving back months later. It looks like we'll have an unexpected pumpkin patch thanks to all of you!

📦 From Cure Rack to Customer! 🧼

After our goat milk soap has cured for at least 4 weeks, it's finally ready for its next journey!

Many people don't realize that making the soap is only part of the process. Once the bars have fully cured, each one is:

1️⃣ Shrink Wrapped – This helps protect the soap and keeps it looking its best until it reaches your home.
2️⃣ Heat Sealed – Using our heat gun station, we carefully shrink the wrap around each bar for a clean, professional finish.
3️⃣ Labeled & Priced – Every bar is labeled by hand so you know exactly what you're getting and can easily identify your favorite scent.

It's a time-consuming process, but we believe every bar deserves a little extra attention before it leaves Kinnaman Farms. ❤️ Thank you for supporting our small family farm and handcrafted business. Every purchase helps us continue doing what we love!

🌾🚜 Friday on the Farm + Campfire Poll Time! 🔥🏕

There's just something special about sitting around a campfire on a summer evening.

Here at Kinnaman Farms, after a busy Friday on the Farm, some of our favorite nights are spent outside around the outdoor fireplace. The goats have settled down for the evening, the chickens are tucked into the coop, and it's finally time to relax and enjoy the slower pace of farm life.

Of course, no campfire is complete without a treat!

David usually starts by roasting a marshmallow until it's golden brown (or occasionally catches it on fire MY FAVORITE! 😆). Then come the gooey s'mores with melted chocolate and graham crackers. If we're lucky, someone brings ingredients for pie iron desserts (cherry or apply please), and those are always a crowd favorite too.

There's just something about the crackling fire, the smell of wood smoke, and sharing stories with family and friends that makes summer feel complete.

So now we have to ask... 🔥 What's the BEST campfire treat?

Over the years, a few customers mentioned that the activated charcoal in our Cold Water Goat Milk Soap could leave a little extra residue in the shower. While many loved the bold black-and-white look, we decided it was time for a refresh!

So, we redesigned Cold Water with a beautiful creamy white base and dark blue swirls while keeping everything you already love about it:

There’s just something special about a country sunset. 🌅

As we were driving home from church this evening, God painted the sky with some of the most beautiful colors. Moments like these remind us to slow down, take a deep breath, and appreciate the simple blessings all around us.

Between the chores, the soap making, the goats, and the busyness of life, it’s easy to get caught up in the next task. But tonight’s sunset was a gentle reminder that some of the best things in life can’t be rushed.

😳🍦🍉🌽🍅 This is a tough one!

I LOVE all four of these summer favorites.

Recently, I had some homemade ice cream with crushed-up Lemonheads mixed in, and it was amazing! The funny thing is, that bright lemon flavor reminded me of the perfect lemon scent that I've been trying to recreate for goat milk soap. It's been eluding me for years!

Of course, watermelon, sweet corn, and fresh tomatoes are summer staples at Kinnaman Farms. Nothing says summer quite like a juicy slice of watermelon, fresh-picked tomatoes from the garden on a BLT, and sweet corn on the dinner table.

So if I absolutely had to choose... I think I'd say homemade ice cream has to go.
But then again... could I really give up sweet corn? 🤔

They say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...

Little Ray has apparently decided that saying must be true. 😂

Earlier this week, instead of enjoying the perfectly good pasture inside the fence, he managed to stick his entire head through the panels to nibble on the grass just a few inches away on the other side. The funny thing? It's the exact same grass! 🌱

Sometimes our goats remind us of ourselves. We spend so much time looking over the fence at what someone else has that we forget to appreciate what's already right in front of us.

Ray wasn't interested in the whole pasture behind him—he wanted the tiny patch he couldn't quite reach. Thankfully, he got his snack and his head back out without any trouble. 😅
