Hey Everyone, so those of you know I provide lash services and I tend to get a lot of questions about if false lashes are damaging to your natural lashes well first off, I provide lash extensions NOT CLUSTER LASHES. Lash extensions should not be damaging to your natural lashes when you find an artist that takes time to prioritize proper isolation, placement, quality of products and sterilization. With lash extensions they're being applied one lash at a time with cluster lashes groups of natural lashes being glued together. Each lash grows at its own rate of growth cycle so that means with lash extensions since they're being applied individually each lash will grow out on its own but with lash clusters where cluster is being glued over a group of lashes to fully grown lashes tend to also pull out the baby lashes since they're being glued in groups instead of individually, you would experience more damage with cluster lashes and a higher rate of infection with cluster lashes due to the type of glue that is used for cluster lashes and how they are applied completely different than lash extensions. With lash extensions, the glue that is being used is a medical grade glue that should be safer for the eyes the only problem with lash extension glue is that it has stronger fumes before curing, so some clients often have red watery eyes for 1-2hours after appointment since the glue is still curing It's kind of hard to explain through text my best advice is to look up the difference between lash extensions and cluster lashes. There are some girls who have horror stories with lash extensions and it's either because 1) they're getting lashes done by somebody with less experience who's rushing their work and does not care about quality of isolation and placement and quality or scamming inexperienced girls applying cluster lashes instead of Real Lash extensions or they are just simply using low quality materials on their clients. 2)it's because the client isn't properly cleaning their lashes daily, they have a habit of picking or they are waiting too long to get fills. I personally am a licensed esthetician and a two-time certified lash artist who has been doing this for 6 and 1/2 years and I've learned from plenty of experience all the ways that lashes can be applied proficiently and healthy for your eyes, it's actually my main priority is the health of your natural lashes and your eyes when it comes to lash extensions. I have a large variety of different lashes and glues used for clients that have sensitivities or allergies so if that's a concern you don't have to have that with me. Cluster lashes are best for those of you who are looking for fast and cheap you can buy them straight from Walmart or your closest dollar store but I would not suggest paying someone to apply clusters the way you would extensions.
