We did some subtle caramel highlights on Monika. She wanted some dimension, easy grow-out, and to stay brunette. Highlights don't have to mean blonde and they don't have to be on long hair.

If you were going to try this style what would your color combo be?
Asymmetrical highlights are my favorite way to make a style a little extra without adding a vivid into the mix! Of course you can do vivids too

I've had people say to me "I want haighlights but I don't want to be blonde can we do that?". Many people have had the experience of going in to zhuzh up their brown hair and they walk out blonde. Do not fear the highlight. It's all about the consultation. We will look at photos till you're maybe even a little sick of it but I always make sure that I don't start a service until I am confident I understand what the person my chair wants and the bombarding of questions does yield fabulous results

Grey coverage AND blending! My favorite service for folks who are very white in the front but not ready to go all natural just yet. Come in every 8-12 weeks not every 5-6.

This guest has natural dark hair that is 75% white around the front hair, 50% on top of the head, and 25% in the back. She is not ready to go grey but putting dark brown everywhere just to have a white line appear after 2 weeks was not gonna work.
We started highlighting around the face working away the previous dark color and toning ash to blend the grey. Now when she comes in every 8-10 weeks i put an ash blonde on her hairline and cover the top of the head with her natural color. No lightening keeps her hair healthly. Having the hairline blended means when you look in the mirror you aren't staring at the grey up top just the blonde im the front.

I have a talked curl envy!?! Though I was not bestowed my birthright to curly hair, I still enjoy working on them. Im only a little jealous but would never take it out on the curls
