Nikki the Barber

Born and raised in Boise, I’ve spent the last eight years in the beauty industry. I started as a licensed cosmetologist before discovering my true passion: barbering. Cosmetology gave me a strong foundation in precision and versatility, but barbering is where I found my groove. I love the craftsmanship behind it—clean lines, sharp tools, and timeless skills over passing trends.

My specialty is men’s long hair, a service I brought with me from my cosmetology background that many barbers don’t offer. Along with longer styles, I love creating razor fades, shaping beards, and dialing in crisp lineups. I’m also a firm believer that the finishing touches matter, so I offer ear, nose, and eyebrow waxing to leave you looking completely cleaned up.

Outside the shop, I spent ten years working at Bogus Basin and trained competitively in mogul skiing, so you’ll still find me on the mountain every winter. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually longboarding, working barbering events at local festivals, hanging out with my dogs, or relaxing with a good video game.

I’m easygoing, detail-oriented, and always happy to chat—or keep things quiet if that’s more your speed. Either way, my goal is simple: give you a great cut and make sure you leave feeling like your best self.

Red Betty’s has an open chair and a fresh new facelift to go with it. After 14 years in the neighborhood, the shop got leveled up — darker, moodier, cleaner, cooler — while still keeping the outlaw vintage soul that made people love this place in the first place.

We’re looking for a barber, barber stylist, or cosmetologist who actually wants to work somewhere with personality instead of another copy-paste beige salon full of fake plants and ring lights.
