🙏 Praying for Caris & Her Family 🙏

Butler Barbering LLC is honored to put together a basket for the benefit auction being held by Reflections Salon for Caris.

More than anything, I pray that every single item and basket donated gets bid up HIGH! Every dollar raised is an opportunity to help Caris and her family with the cost of treatment and everything that comes along with this fight.

This is what community is supposed to look like—businesses, families, friends, and even complete strangers coming together to carry some of the weight when one of our own needs it.

We will be praying for Caris, for her treatment, for strength and healing, for wisdom for her doctors, and for peace and comfort for her entire family through all of this.

“Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Please keep Caris and her family in your prayers, and if you’re able to participate in the auction, BID BIG! ❤️🙏

September 11, 2012.

Four Americans never came home.

Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.
Sean Smith.
Glen Doherty.
Tyrone Woods.

Whatever political arguments have surrounded Benghazi over the years, today I want to remember the men. The husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, friends, and Americans whose lives were lost that night.

Especially the men who ran toward danger when most people would have been running away from it.

There is a level of courage required to put yourself between danger and someone else. As a veteran, that kind of sacrifice will always mean something to me.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

Four Americans. Four families forever changed.

Today we remember their names.

J. Christopher Stevens.
Sean Smith.
Glen Doherty.
Tyrone Woods.

May we never become so consumed with politics that we forget the human beings behind the headlines.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

I missed it by a day, but we remember Charlie Kirk.

Whether you agreed with everything he said or not, Charlie was never afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He spoke openly about his faith, his love for this country, and the values he believed were worth defending.

What hits me the hardest is knowing a wife lost her husband. Children lost their father. Friends lost someone they loved. And an entire generation lost a voice that encouraged people to stop being afraid to speak up.

As Christians, our hope has never been in a political party, a movement, or any man. Our hope is Jesus Christ.

Charlie’s death should remind every believer that none of us are promised tomorrow. We have a limited amount of time on this earth to love our families, serve others, share the Gospel, stand for truth, and point people toward Christ.

Pray for his family. Pray for his friends. Pray for our country.

And more than anything, don’t waste the time God has given you.

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called.” — 1 Timothy 6:12

Rest in peace, Charlie.

25 years ago today, our country changed forever.

I was only 6 years old on September 11, 2001, but I still remember watching it happen. I didn’t fully understand what I was seeing, but I knew something had changed. Years later, 9/11 would become one of the reasons I chose to raise my right hand and serve in the United States Army.

2,977 innocent lives were taken that day. Firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans showed the world what courage and sacrifice looked like.

For a moment, America wasn’t divided by politics, race, class, or denomination. We were Americans. We prayed together. We mourned together. We stood together.

Today, remember the lives that were taken. Remember the families who never got their loved ones back. Remember those who ran toward the danger while everyone else was running away. Remember the men and women who answered the call to serve in the years that followed—and those who never came home.

Most importantly, remember how quickly tomorrow can disappear.

Love your family. Forgive people. Stand for what is right. Put your faith in Christ. And never take the freedoms we have for granted.

September 11, 2001.

Never forget. 🇺🇸

The second most asked question of the last couple weeks is “When are you going to stay open later?” The answer is NOW! Starting this week, we will be open until 8PM on Wednesday-Fridays. So come for date night. Come for studying (or study break 😬). Come because you need some amazing coffee. Whatever your reason, we look forward to serving you on these evenings!
