Flawless skin is a dream for many of us, but it's not always easy to achieve. That's why I'm sharing some Do's and Don'ts of skincare that will help you take better care of your skin 🧚🏼

Exfoliating is essential for healthy, glowing skin, but with so many options, it can be hard to know which type of exfoliant to choose. Here's a quick summary of the difference between AHA, BHA, and PHA exfoliants:

* AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid): These exfoliants are water-soluble and work on the surface of the skin to remove dead skin cells. They are great for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and brightening the complexion.
* BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid): These exfoliants are oil-soluble and work deeper in the pores to remove excess oil and unclog pores. They are great for oily and acne-prone skin, as they can help reduce breakouts and blackheads.
* PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid): These exfoliants are similar to AHAs but are gentler on the skin. They work by breaking down the bonds between dead skin cells, making them easier to remove. They are great for sensitive skin types and can help improve skin texture and tone.

When choosing an exfoliant, it's important to consider your skin type and concerns. AHA and PHA exfoliants are great for dry or sensitive skin, while BHA exfoliants are better for oily or acne-prone skin. Remember to always patch test new products and introduce them slowly into your routine 🧚🏼

Have you heard of the Fitzpatrick scale? The sale was developed to help classify a person's complexion in relation to their tolerance to sunlight. The scale is used by many health professions to determine how a patient will respond to certain treatments and assess risk for sunburn and skin cancer. It classifies skin types into six categories according to how they react to the sun (UV exposure) 🌞

Understanding your Fitzpatrick skin type is a great first step to protecting your skin! 🧚🏼 Remember, no matter your skin type, you ARE susceptible to skin cancer. ALWAYS wear sunscreen and reapply AT LEAST every 2 hours! ✨
