Dermaplaning is not for everyone, but I do think it’s the most satisfying service 😂 This treatment can be included in any of the new client facials or the Level 2-4 facials. It removes peach fuzz and dead skin, greatly improving texture and enhancing makeup application! All of this could be hiding on your face without you even knowing it! Definitely one of my favorites before an event or photo shoot.

We wrapped up her series of 3 a few weeks ago, but these photos are from her first peel appointment - when she came in for the third peel (so, two peels in between these photos). I’m simply too excited to not share this progress tho 🫣

Huuuuge difference the dark spots on her forehead and upper cheeks here and as you can see, her skin tone is SO much more even!!! The peel healing process is not completely linear, so it’s common for some new pigmentation to be brought up as the series progresses. The reality is that the pigmentation isn’t actually new though, provided that the skin has been properly prepped. It was underneath the surface and is now getting brought up to eventually be sloughed off! In my experience this is quite common to see after the second peel.

I always recommend that peels and microneedling be done in a series of 3-6, as the results are cumulative! It takes time for results to fully manifest, and one session is rarely enough to reach your desired endpoint. That’s why I *only* offer standalone appointments to clients who have already completed a series, and even that is on a case by case basis.

How she walked in versus how she left 🙂‍↕️

No, one facial is not going to completely fix your skin concerns. But, you can absolutely see a noticeable difference before versus after your service! This was a Level 4 facial where we incorporated Krx Aesthetics®️ Carboxy Mask, nano infusion, and dermaplaning! I am super happy with this client’s progress over the past 6 months with her breakouts, and it goes to show that you do not always have to come in every 4-8 weeks to see progress in your skin. We will find a way to make your treatment plan work for your schedule!

Next we’ll be doing a series of Green Sea Peels and I am sooooo excited to see the impact it makes on her leftover scarring! 🌟

Would you believe me if I told you she’s wearing a MINERAL sunscreen these photos?! No, this is not an April Fools’ joke!!

You guys might know that I am historically a mineral sunscreen hater, however…I took a chance on the SPF and to say that I am stunned with how good it looks on deeper skin is a major understatement. This is undoubtedly the best mineral SPF I have ever used and one of my favorite sunscreens of all time in general!

Why am I so excited about this? Mineral sunscreens are generally not a great option for deeply melanated skin because they leave a noticeable white cast, which is why it’s taken me this long to bring one into my backbar/retail stack. Unfortunately, a lot of POC skip out on sunscreen because they have only ever tried mineral SPFs that are not properly formulated for their skin tone. Plus, mineral SPFs are usually more problematic from a sensory standpoint regardless of race or ethnicity - they can feel very chalky, oily etc. But at the same time, they are often easier to tolerate for clients with sensitive skin and/or sensitive eyes than chemical SPFs.

When my client came in wanting to work on her melasma, I knew that I wanted to send her home with the Mixi SPF! I prefer mineral SPFs over chemical SPFs for melasma, at least on paper…ultimately the best sunscreen is the one you will actually wear! She was shocked when I showed her the after photos because the sunscreen is pretty much undetectable on her skin. I was thrilled when decided she wanted to take it home!

4 WEEK MICRONEEDLING RESULTS ✨

This is what one session of microneedling can do for your scarring! Danielle has had some deep scarring on the side of her forehead for a while due to repeated bouts of dermatitis in the past. After doing enough facials to make sure the irritation is under control, we are now proceeding with more results-driven treatments to take care of the leftover pigment! I’m so impressed with thi change we’re seeking already!

No, microneedling won’t fix your problems in one session, but you can still see big improvements. This is why I always recommend purchasing a series of 3-6 sessions (and why I’m probably going to stop offering single sessions in general starting next month). Yes, it’s in an investment, but this service requires commitment and adequate resources to build and maintain a home care routine with approved products!

IMPORTANT UPDATES:

🫶 72 hours’ notice is now required to cancel, reschedule, or otherwise modify an appointment. As always, every situation is handled with care and discretion! New cancellation policy forms will be sent out shortly to all clients.

🫶 Limitations on rescheduling: This is new! With how full my books are, it has become increasingly difficult (and borderline impossible) to accommodate the continuous moving around of appointments. Moving forward, a single appointment may only be rescheduled once online. In order to reschedule the same appointment twice, full prepayment will be required. After the first reschedule, access to online booking will be temporarily paused - this means you will have to get in touch with me in order to move your appointment around a second time. Online booking access will be immediately reinstated once the appointment takes place! (To be clear, there will be no penalties if *I* have to reschedule your appointment)

🙅‍♀️ No Call, No Shows will be charged a 75% fee to the card on file. Enough said 😅
