Mandate on public mask to take effect in Boone on Saturday - WataugaOnline.com The Boone Town Council voted on Tuesday night to amend its current State of Emergency (SOE) to mandate that mask/face coverings be worn in indoor establishments open to the public. The new mandate will take effect this Saturday, June 20, at 9 am after it passed by a 3-2 vote. Town Manager John Ward....

We have bitter sweet news. An opportunity for me to move home to Alabama has presented itself and it’s something that we can’t pass up. So as of July 31 Artistry Salon will be being taken over by . Until then I will be behind the chair working. I will not be taking any new clients and only have a small availability with everything going on.

Due to current circumstances we are not accepting new clients until we are caught up from the shut down.

Due to COVID-19 these are the regulations for Artistry Salon:

-The salon will be appointment only no walk in services will be permitted.

-If you have a FEVER or COUGH or FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS, or just aren’t feeling well please call and reschedule your appointment.

-There will be no waiting area in the salon in the salon. All guests must wait in your car to be called to enter the salon when your stylist is ready for you, to allow them to complete the sanitation process.

-Only customers receiving a service will be allowed in the salon, please do not bring anyone with you.

-All guests must wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival

-All guests will be required to wear a mask or a face covering, if you arrive without one will be provided.

-Waiver must be completed before services are started.

Thank you so much for understanding we are just trying to do our best to ensure ours and guests safety. We are doing our best to comply with CDC guidelines as well as The NC Board of Cosmetic Arts.

So it looks like salons will be able to open as of May 23rd at 5pm. I will be waiting until tomorrow to give The State Board of Cosmetic Arts a chance to post the safety measures we will be required to use. I will be calling everyone that has had a appointment canceled first to reschedule then I will contact everyone that has reached out to be put on the waiting list. Please be patient this is going to take me a while to contact everyone. Thanks so much for everyone’s patients and support through this time.
