First, I just want to say thank you! 🩵 I have truly been feeling the love this week with all of the amazing wedding inquiries coming in! I appreciate every single one of you for considering me to be part of your special day.

With wedding season continuing to grow and the rising costs that come with it, I wanted to share a few updates that will take effect for my 2026–2027 wedding season.

✨ Booking Deposit✨

To reserve your wedding date, a $100 non-refundable booking deposit will now be required. This deposit will no longer be applied toward your services. I chose this route so I could avoid raising my service prices and continue keeping my pricing as affordable as possible.

For weddings within 25 minutes of me, this deposit covers my travel. Weddings outside of that distance will have an additional travel fee based on location.

If you’ve already signed a contract with me, these changes do not apply to your booking.

✨ Wedding Day Timeline✨

About two weeks before your wedding, we’ll finalize your getting-ready timeline together. Once it’s finalized, I kindly ask that no changes be made without discussing them with me first. Even small adjustments can affect the schedule and timing for everyone involved, and I want to make sure every client has the best experience without feeling rushed.

✨ Assistant Artists✨

If your wedding requires me to bring an additional artist, their booking deposit and travel fees will be separate from mine. Every artist has their own policies and pricing, but I always do my best to work with talented artists whose pricing is similar to my own.

✨ Service Timing✨

I allow a minimum of 45 minutes per makeup application. Some looks may take less time, while others may require an additional 5–10 minutes depending on the style and details.

For hair services, I currently schedule 30–40 minutes per person, depending on hair length and the desired style.

❗️Please also keep in mind that I sanitize my tools/makeup and completely reset my station between every client, so that time is factored into the schedule to ensure everyone receives the quality experience they deserve.❗️

✨ Bridal Questionnaires✨

Within the next month, I’ll be sending questionnaires to both current and future brides. These will help me prepare for your wedding day by gathering information about styles, preferences, allergies, inspiration photos, and any important details for you and your bridal party.

✨ Late Policy✨

Please be ready at your scheduled start time. I allow a 10-minute grace period. After that, a $10 late fee will apply, with an additional $10 charged for every 10 minutes thereafter. This helps keep everyone’s schedule on track and ensures the rest of the bridal party isn’t affected.

✨ Hollywood Waves✨

After much consideration, I have decided to no longer offer Hollywood Waves. While I absolutely love the style, it’s not a service I feel confident specializing in. I’d much rather refer you to an artist who creates them beautifully! I’m always happy to recommend some incredibly talented hairstylists.

My goal has always been to provide beautiful, high-quality services while keeping my pricing as reasonable as possible, and I appreciate each of you for being part of this journey with me. 🩵

Alexis coordinated my wedding at the Dixie Gin back in 2021 and it blossomed into a beautiful friendship and working along side each other for many different weddings. She always had such a big heart and was so kind. She will forever be missed by all of us and I pray for her babies, friends, and family 💔

Our hearts are heavy. We’ve lost our Alexis. Alexis Huckabee, a dear and treasured part of the Dixie Gin family, passed away on Tuesday morning.
Alexis has touched so many lives here at the Gin and in every aspect of her life. She will be missed by us all.

The family will be holding a private memorial service on Friday. Please keep them in your prayers.

I’m still working just not posting and taking pictures 🙈 I’ve been also giving myself some grace since I worked A LOT last year and recovering still from surgery 🥹👏🏻🙏

Following Saturdays I have left open this year to assist, weddings, projects, etc ❤️
